Tins of corned beef sounds like 80s food, is that still a thing?
When I was a young kid, my mom fed me a bit of corned beef and I LOVED it.
But I didn't know what it was called, or how to describe it, when I asked my mom for the same thing two weeks later.
So my mom spent the next eleven years thinking that I was in love with minced meat and luncheon meat/spam. (I wasn't, but I didn't want to disappoint her) And I never knew what that heavenly taste was until I finally chanced upon a tin of corned beef at the back of the grocery shelf as a teenager.
But I didn't know what it was called, or how to describe it, when I asked my mom for the same thing two weeks later.

Which is the way to go with 1-2 positive cases. 8-10, then the risk of a massive outbreak is bigger.

The association of corned beef with that often brazilian can of shit that will slice your fingers open is a wartime thing. I love that shit on a baked potato, but there's nothing English about it, and it's, if I step back and think for even a second, one of those things that's objectively shit, it's just my parents ate it during and after the war, and then developed a weird taste for it as kids, and inflicted the same thing on me.
It isn't really corned beef though, traditionally, please don't claim that for England, because put that up against what they consider a decent "Irish" corned beef here, or a "Jewish" corned beef from a deli, and England is in trouble.
I’m not going to dispute how poor they’ve been in the group. But even going away to Napoli isn’t easy with a full squad.

I don’t know what your point is. I tried to say there is mitigating reasons why they are losing tonight. An injury ravaged home team beating an injury ravaged away team isn’t unexpected in this fixture.

For my sins I have been in America a number of times on or around St Patrick's day, and, apart from the overkill of green, the thing that sticks out to me is all the Irish pubs & restaurants serving corn beef & cabbage as par of their traditional menu .. that and the fact they refer to the day as "Patty's Day"
My theory on the food part is that early Irish emigrants failed to find proper bacon in America, and substituted it with corn beef
