Joseph Yobo - Fenerbache (€2.5m)

Joseph Yobo’s protracted transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahce has officially been completed for a fee of 2.5million Euros.

Everton and Fenerbachce signed the deal on Friday night and the Nigerian defender signed his new terms on Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Turkish heavyweights where he has been on loan for the past two seasons.

The deal looked all but done last week, but talks broke down over additional demands by the English club, including a 1.5million Euro apparance related bonus payment.

The Nigerian captain was initially loaned to Fener after falling out of favour with David Moyes and the initial arrangement was for a permanent move for 4-million Euro.

Yobo joined Everton from Marseille in 2002 and made more than 250 appearances for The Toffees.

Simon Gillett - Nottingham Forest (free transfer)

Nottingham Forest have taken their tally of close season signings to five by landing Simon Gillett.

The 26 year old midfielder is linking-up for the second time with Sean O'Driscoll by joining The Reds as a free agent.

Forest boss O'Driscoll took Gillett to Doncaster from Southampton two years ago and his career blossomed at The Keepmoat Stadium.

Forest Chairman Omar Al Hasawi said: "Simon is a player that Sean knows well from his Doncaster days and we are delighted to welcome him to the Club."

Gillett launched his career with Southampton and made more than 30 appearances for the south coast club.

He spells on loan with Walsall, Blackpool (twice), Bournemouth and Doncaster and O'Driscoll swooped to sign him permanently in the summer of 2010.

Gillett was an ever-present for Doncaster in the Championship last season and scooped various Player of the Year awards.

His contract expired in the summer but Doncaster were unable to offer him a new deal following their relegation to League One.

Simon Gillett has revealed that the chance to join Forest was too good to turn down.

The former Doncaster man signed a contract at The City Ground this morning and told Forest Player that, while renewing acquaintances with manager Sean O'Driscoll was a huge factor in his decision, there were other reasons he was delighted to join The Reds.

"The club speaks for itself really." he said. "It's a great stadium, great fans and great history. But the manager played a massively important part for me as well- I know how he works and I feel he can get the best out of me."

Having run-out his contract at Rovers, the midfielder was happy to wait in order to find the right club for him- something he is confident he has now achieved.

"My contract came to an end [at Doncaster] and I've been looking for a club and biding my time since then. This fantastic opportunity came up and I couldn't look back."

The ex-Southampton man - who knows David McGoldrick, Dan Harding and Dexter Blackstock from his time at St Mary's - signed on the dotted line in time for this afternoon's friendly at home to Aston Villa.

"I'm absolutely delighted to get it all done and dusted." he said. "I had my medical this morning and I'm just delighted to be here at what is a great stadium. I couldn't be happier."

Salomon Rondon - Rubin Kazan (reportedly €10m)

Translated from Rubin Kazan website:

22-year-old striker Salomon Rondon Venezuela signed a four-year contract with "Ruby". Rondon played for the team, "Aragua" Venezuela (2006-2008) - 49 matches, 15 goals, "Las Palmas" Spain (2008-2010) - 46 matches, 10 goals, "Malaga" Spain (2010-2012) - 60 matches, 23 goals. For the Venezuelan team had 11 matches and scored 5 goals.

Rubin Kazan have announced the arrival of Malaga striker Salomon Rondon on a four-year contract on their official website for an undisclosed fee.

The Venezuelan enjoyed a successful spell with the Andalusian side, scoring 25 goals in 67 Liga appearances and helping them seal Champions League football with a fourth-placed finish last term.

The 22-year-old also played a key role as his nation made an unlikely run to the Copa America last summer, and has made 24 appearances for the Vinotinto, scoring eight goals.

Despite their progress on the field, the La Rosaleda outfit have been struck with financial struggles following the takeover of Qatari businessman Sheikh Abdulla.

Prior to his time at Malaga, the forward plied his trade with Aragua and Las Palmas.

Joselu - Hoffenheim (€6 million)

Joselu has joined Hoffenheim following the deal sealed between Real Madrid and the German club, who will pay €6 million for the services of last season's top goalscorer at Castilla.

Joselu has signed a four-year contract with the team managed by Markus Babbel, although the player could return to Madrid if the club chooses to exercise the repurchase option written in to the player's contract at the end of the next two seasons, for €9 and €12 million respectively.

The forward will pack his bags and leave immediately for Germany to join ranks with his new team, which finished in eleventh place last season but has aspirations to qualify for Europe this time round, just as the manager announced at the beginning of the week.

With the departure of Joselu to play in the Bundesliga and with Morata now playing for the first team under Mourinho, Castilla finds itself without any first-choice strikers, with only two weeks to go until the beginning of the season. For this reason, it is possible that the Real Madrid B-team will have to sign replacements to bolster its attack.

Manuel Almunia, Fitz Hall - Watford (free transfer)
Almen Abdi, Matej Vydra, Steve Leo Beleck -Watford (loan from Udinese)
Danel Pudil, Ikeci Anya - Watford (loan from Grananda)

GIANFRANCO ZOLA’S Hornets have received a perfect pre-season boost with confirmation of seven new signings today.

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia and defender Fitz Hall have both signed one-year contracts with Watford, while five season-long loans – all using the strength of the Pozzo family network of clubs – have been agreed.

Midfielder Almen Abdi, along with forwards Matej Vydra and Steve Leo Beleck, have joined for 2012/13 from Champions League Serie A qualifiers Udinese.

Granada pair Daniel Pudil, a defender, and striker/winger Ikechi Anya, will ply their trade at Vicarage Road on loan from the Spanish Primera Liga club.

Hornets’ Technical Director Gian Luca Nani is pleased with the additions, and says there is more to come.

“We expect these players to make a very positive impact on Gianfranco Zola’s squad,” he said.

“We are constantly looking to add quality here for Watford, and this is a task which will be ongoing throughout the season."

that was one of the most nervous 50 seconds of my life , waiting for his arm or something to fall off and them to pull out of the deal.

We might if we didn't have completely idiotic owners who let a 39 year old coach with one year's PL experience dictate their recruitment strategy.

that really is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen i think. the massive elaborate plan to re-define how a football club could be structured jibbed off as soon as swansea's manager said he wasn't into it.

Ravel Morrison - Birmingham City (loan)

Blues have today completed the signing of midfielder Ravel Morrison on a season-long loan from West Ham United.

The highly-rated 19-year-old arrives at St. Andrew's from the Barclays Premier League club looking to gain further first-team experience and will bolster Lee Clark's midfield ranks.

Morrison, who has represented England up to under-18 level, began his career at Manchester United where he lifted the 2010/11 FA Youth Cup.

The Manchester-born talent made three appearances in the League Cup for the Red Devils before joining West Ham on a three-and-a-half year contract in January 2012.

Morrison has been given first-team squad number 12 for the 2012/13 campaign.
