USA 1-0

Haha
great 'knee' shot ... ha ha

If (when?) the Yanks win this, watch the US Media go even crazier than they did after the win over Spain ... SOCCCA!!!

Nice service from Spector to Dempsey for second time in 3 games. He can't get a game for West Ham, but is playing well in South Africa

Dempsey seems to have goals in him.

I'm probably way off, but I always think of him as one of those that will always score against us. Cunt!

14 in 81 for Fulham. Not amazing, but not bad for a midfielder in a low-scoring team, I guess.

I don't like Dunga's Brazil.

Tim Vickery makes a living out of (repeatedly) writing about how they've traded in the silky skills for physicality and effective football... I'd like to see the silky football back.

Only just turned it on, WTF?!
In a nutshell: Brazil aren't very good at defending, and the USA are.

What the fuck, is the commentary box in a wasps nest or something?
Horns. South Africans like them apparently.

Or a HUGE wasps nest.

Cracking finish.

Game on!
You'd think so, but USA have been the better team since that goal. Brazil look like they're on mogadon.

Man, I hope they end up deciding to ban these horns - it's fucking annoying.

The World Cup isn't just about the host nation... other nations need to be able to enjoy it too.

That was over the line, wasn't it?
Yeah, the commentators are blind.

yep

Comment from the BBC:

"Fair play to Tim Howard. He may have performed badly at the start of the tournament, but since the Egypt game he has been blinding. The way he held Spain at bay was awesome and so far he is showing his talents again tonight. With these performances he must be attracting attention from some of Europe's elite."

I guess this commentator agrees with Rafa re: Small Club.

The fucking fruits, it's so annoying I switched off after 5 minutes.

its like the sign language guy on bbc late at night, you forget he's there after a while until someone points it out and then it annoys you again
Why wouldn't they have put someone on the post?
we dont do it either, do we?

Poor Yanks ... They've overachieved big time but hey, not many teams get 2-0 leads on Brazil. As I said earlier in the thread, I see them making a bit of noise in the World Cup.

Donovan ... One nice goal and as usual, invisible most of the game.

Yanks created their own downfall. After the second goal every time they intercepted the ball they thought they could do the same counter attack again rather than keeping hold of the ball. When they inevitably lost it whilst trying to break, disaster. Yet they kept doing it. Naive.
