we wouldnt sell him for much, if his wages aren't too high (which they probably are unfortunately) then id keep him, having said that it would probably be better to stop him getting in the way of the youngsters coming through
he's on 80k a week appaz

I just can't understand how ANYONE can advocate keeping hold of that gutless, spineless fuckin shithouse that is Stewart Downing. The sooner he fucks off the better, that cunt will stop 1 of the young lads getting game time next season. Even if we were playing the Mancs I'd much prefer Ibe,Suso, Sterlin, fuckin anyone starting ahead of that twat.

Except when Sterling and Suso played at the start of the season we kept losing and when Downing played at the end of the season we kept winning.

Super Stu was alright for the second half of the season. We have not really had any better wide players for a long time. I am glad to see that we are looking to improve however.

At the start of the season we didn't have Sturridge and Coutinho.

Downing had nothing to do with it.

My god, do you really think Our form after Xmas was down to Super Stewy? Your a fuckin whopper of epic proportions. When you get a moment just compare Coutinho's stats to Stewies. Then have a look at How many goals Sturridge scored. Are you Stewart Downing?

Seriously lads, it's rare our players stay where they're meant to in our front 4.

Borini could start on the right but comfortably drift in to the box consistently

This is why Downing has no future with us, he isn't flexible enough

Good point, and its strange that Porto have such faith in him yet loads of people on here think he's crap based on some Youtube clips.

If its one club I'd trust regarding player potential and ability, its Porto.

No. It's Spurs.

We should just look at every player who wants to go there then announce that we're interested.

I sense much anger in you.

Perhaps, we could buy him and then send him on loan to Blackpool as a sweetener for the Ince deal. Or to Wigan/Palace, etc. This is what Chelsea have been doing in a much more expensive way - buy young talent, loan it out to see if the potential develops.

And what if .. I said what if .. Hyena is THE real Hyena .... fuck he'd chew your legs off Pesam/Roland !

Liverpool have increased there bid to €5,8 million on Christian Atsu. LFC is not the only English club who is interested in him. [O Jogo]

Liverpool fear their hopes of signing Porto winger Christian Atsu could be scuppered by the Portuguese side’s reluctance to come to the table.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers believes the 21-year-old Ghanaian would be a perfect addition to his squad as he looks to improve on last season’s seventh place Premier League finish.

The pacy youngster has just one year left on his contract at the Estadio do Dragao and has told Porto that he has no intention of signing a new deal.
This news gave the Merseysiders belief that Porto would agree on a quick sale and tabled a bid of £3million. However, the Portuguese champions are in no hurry to sell their man and, may decided to make the youngster sit out the final year of his contract.

With rumours of another Premier League club showing interest in the winger the Reds have upped their offer to £5 million. But Porto still seem reluctant to talk to the Anfield outfit which could see Rodgers step away from the negotiating table and focus his attention on alternative targets.

Nolito an alternative?
