Only watched the highlights but it looked like Alli was a one man army for us again?
If’n we’re not careful, he’s off off in the summer— why waste your career playing with those disjointed berks? And if he were to, the rebuilding job would be even tougher.

He has won everything in football these last few years. I doubt he even considers it after 1 shit year.
We'll be back next year, and he trusts Klopp.

He’d contemplate any move should a top spot become available. Even when we go back to the top. He’s done England and Italy. He may want to try Spain or Germany. He wouldn’t go to another English team.

If the management view is that we'll be 2-3 years off challenging for the title again then I wouldn't be massively surprised if Allisson asks to leave. All depends on what happens this summer. The briefings are that we'll spend big, the manager will be backed etc, so if we don't - even if Klopp pretends it's his choice not to rip the team up - I wouldn't be shocked if Alli asks to go. Same for Salah.

Gomez was fine - and Curtis Jones actually went in with Kante a few times and came out ok.
I think, if honest, he should play the rest of the season.
Let's see what's happening with the kid and if he has a future of some sort here.

He has a future here but it's at the "some sort" end of the spectrum. Klopp doesn't seem to rate him massively and he is (or has been) injury prone, which doesn't help his cause.

He's physically decent - he's got skill and he's got a great shot on him.
My concern has always been his inability to play fast - he's mentally slow, which is what I think Klopp struggles with.
Regardless, if he plays the last 10 games - we'll see if he can hold up physically and if he can really contribute in this team ... I don't think he fits into the 4-3-3 world but what do I know.

Jones was okay I thought. Clearly on a high from a good international performance. Needs a run of games but his problem is staying fit. Lets hope he can play for the rest of the season.

A 32 year old Kante who hasn't started a game in about 8 months....still ran our midfield ragged.

There was a chance where Jones picked up a loosely cleared ball on the right when Hendo whipped in a dangerous ball and all he had to do was cut it back to the edge of the box where Jota was waiting unmarked in acres of space....instead he took a touch, another touch which allowed Chelsea to reset & the chance went & that's Curtis all over.

Nothing to lose now so might as well chuck in few youngsters and players we're putting in the shop window.

Would like to do Doak Fabio and maybe 1 other player from the u21s we have high hopes for (if any)

Surprised about a couple of average performances?
We’ve routinely been told that they’re shite but they were no worse than those who have been playing regularly. Even with a glaring lack of match sharpness.

I thought Jones was okay.

He was average, got on the ball a bit first half without doing anything....2nd half he was nowhere to be seen.

Gomez was a little better and actually looked like he wanted to defend, looked mentally focus so didn't cost us any stupid chances.

Still get rid of the pair of them if we can.

Jones was ok at best but problem is as many have said on this forum previously, he doesn’t have any pace, doesn’t press hard enough, tires after 35 mins and is constantly injured. Pointless to plan anything but as a sub with him next season. He has also had plenty of chances to stake his claim when fit, it’s not like Klopp hasn’t played him enough.

Pace isn't the issue imo.
YOu don't have to have great pace to contribute and work in a Klopp system.
The issue I think is he lacks 'pace' mentally - and that's what hurts him most.

Cunts barely had the chance to play for klopp, as clearly klopp doesn't rate him.

Personally, I'd be starting Jones until season's end. Can't be any worse. Then we either have another viable midfielder, or a showcase to sell him

Yup, I concur.
Give him 10 games to 'save' his Liverpool career (can you really save what you haven't got?)
Shows he can ball, excellent.
Shows he can't, we sell him for 25 mill.

Course we do. Not a lot. Some fancy touches and turns without really doing anything.

But desperate times call for desperate measures....do we stick with the tried and tested which has stunk the season out or do we say ahhhhh fuck it and go with the (not so much) untried and untested but will still stink the place out.

No win situation.

I love Alisson as both a player and a human but if we think this is now a rebuild project, I think we should be open to selling him to fund it. Kelleher is ready for a chance and no player has emerged from this season with their reputation (and sell-on value) more intact than Ali.

A world record fee would go a long way and we'd be dealing from a position of strength with a capable replacement already on hand.

I get the logic in what you’re saying, but there’s a danger in that route that sees any gains from a midfield rebuild offset by the 8-10 point loss of a truly world class keeper (however promising Kelleher is).

Alli goes nowhere for me.

I agree. Selling your last valuable asset for the chance to improve your situation sounds like a gambler's last hurrah to me. The incoming players would inevitably fall flat and then we'd be shit from top to bottom. At least we've got the best keeper in the world as it stands.

Thought we'd get beat comfortably so a 0-0 was satisfying.

Anyone who thought we'd come here and deliver anything more than we did just haven't accepted the season we've had.....this team isn't capable of blowing teams away.
This team isn't capable of winning away... Some of our preformances have been hodgsonesque but when you compair the thems it's makes these Ones actually worse

Well they are but not near as often as they've done at home.

If we weren't capable then we wouldn't have beat Ajax Spurs Newcastle or Villa away.
