See. That has been. Our problem in the past, having a way to hight a price on players and not being willing to drop the price..
Origi is a prime example. There were a few clubs sniffing around for him but wouldn't meet our valuation and we wouldnt drop our price and eventually he leaves a few seasons later on a free

Jones isn't worth near 20m and gomez isn't worth 40m...
10m and 20m respectively.

Oh and if we bring in 5 or 6 first teamers then we won't be challenging next season as they will need a good six months to bed in. This is real world shit and not video game like football manager

We're half and half. Half is new, developing and full of potential, held back by the older and arthritic half.

Yes, but they got there by ruthlessly cutting the fat in their squad and enjoying the advantages of not playing in Europe. We can do the same. We are already well in our way to accomplishing one of the preconditions.

Also, some of the players who are dead weight are done this summer anyway. We don't even have to make a decision.

No arguments here. I hope we commit to the second precondition as well. No Europe and watching our geriatric players amble around like they're in quickmud doesn't sound very appealing. I mean, we all stuck around for the Poulsen and Konchesky era but that doesn't mean we want to go back there.
