Does he get away with more than most or am I imagining it?

The Nani challenge today should have been a red, and the many times he pulls people around in the penalty area and nothing happens.

Not that I'm complaining of course, but he seems to be a very lucky boy, very often.

If anything he gets too much stick from Refs

I think he used to get away with a fair share of shirt pulling in the box, but as of last season, that seems to have caught up with him a bit. Don't really remember him being lucky not to have seen a straight red over the last decade, so I think he's just very lucky today.

He's behind Rafael in the "getting away with it stakes" and that little pussy has been around, what, two seasons?

It was worse than I thought initially, but it wasn't bad enough for a red card, IMO.

Yep. That was my take on it.

I didn't think it should have been a red, and I'm not being biased, I just thought it was clumsy. The Rafael challenge was worse.

For me Carra is up there with the top well known prem players - the Gerrards , the Lampards , the Terrys , the Rooneys , Fabregas etc and rightly or wrongly these lads normally seem to get the benefit of the doubt . I mean how many dodgy tackles has gerrard made down the years and got away with a yellow .

I think alot of other players might have got a red for that but not to worry , sometimes they go your way and others not ...it shouldn't take away from fact we were better all round today .

nani deserved it, such a theatrical and slimmy twat. however, it was a red and in general carra does get away with a fair bit, but probably no more than vidic, terry et al

I couldn't give a shit, he's a red and I fucking hate United, so fuck'em. It's about time Karma went the other way against them cunts.

I've seen worse tackles get less, so I'll happily ride my luck this time.

After all we make our own luck don't we?

I hate this

I think Nani's reputation prevented a red in this case. And the fact that he ran 20 yards to show ref how he's hurt, it was so theatrical it had another act written all over it. The boy who cried wolf and all that.

I'm quite sure a Skrtel or a Kyrgiakos would've walked making that challenge.

KHL: in the greater scheme of things it may well be true but does it even matter?

It's always been the case and will always be the case. Some players will always get a longer leach than others.

Not much to do about it.

Isn't that the nature of the game. There's still a human element to it.

I didn't see the ref put his arm around Carra and have a laugh with him like Rooney last week ;-)

Gerrard did give Dowd a friendly belly-slap late in the game though ;D

It was a red card tackle and stupid. 2 0 up almost half time it could have changed the game but it didnt so its ok now

Couldn't care less

Carra needed to put a hard tackle in on Nani as soon as possible. He's a lot quicker than carra, and if it weren't for that tackle Nani could have raped that side of the park.

If that were anyone else on the receiving end, I think Carra would have been sent. Nani's the boy who cried wolf too many time in the past
