I do think defenders are getting onto Torres' game. Kick him about a bit, make him whine, and you'll likely to see a less dangerous player, so getting someone big up there to help out Torres does seem plausible, but this does throw up two issues:

- We've got no wide men capable of playing 442.
- Torres has never flourished with a typical strike-partner before.

In short, I haven't a clue on this, only that we need another striker

How Roy resolves those 2 issues you mention along with where he plays Joe Cole to get the best out of the team will decide whether we make the Top 4 or not.
 
I'm starting to think we'll sign nobody. 23 hours to go and not a striker in sight. Depressing.

Mereiles came out of nowhere, so hopefully another striker will randomly appear

Total anti-climax that will be.
 
Ill give the saint a pass because hes a ledge and old as the fucking hills! But the other two spackmoids could only name Mascherano and Nemeth as players who have left the club! YOURE ON LFCTV DICKS YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT SHIT!!
 
I'm pretty indifferent to the Carlton Cole signing.. He's 26 with lots of Prem experience (9 seasons since his debut) with Chelsea, Charlton, Villa and, of course, West Ham.. The goal return isn't phenominal but he's much more than a 'poacher'. Good for our home-grown quota too..

If we sign him i'll get behind him and be quite optimistic he could forfil the hype of his early career that encouraged Ranieri to say: "I've never coached a young player like Carlton. He's fantastic even though he hasn't really started his career yet. He has a very long contract, and, in my opinion, a very big future at Chelsea." and to whack out a 6year contract for him..

And if we don't.. then fuck it it's only Carlton Cole!

We had a 9 Million bid turned down for Cole last week, now we selling Bable to Spurs to make up the shortfall?
