Blame Rodgers

You do realise the shit end to last season didn't stop in May? And that he's had one good season in 4?

We will never agree when it comes to this issue. He was forced to play and build around the legend. Nobody could have been coaching LFC the past 5 years without the blue stamp of Gerrard. He was bigger than the club in all aspects except his performance on the pitch.

I believe the failure to start building around others sooner and the fact that we are a selling club is a big part of where we are right now.

We are in transition - remember? ;-)

33 days since #LFC last won a game. 140 days since #LFC last scored two goals in a game. 1302 days since #LFC last won a trophy.

Should have been sacked after the 1-6 loss.

The pressure is increasing now and if we dont beat Villa next weekend then FSG will surley be considering their options. I'm not sure how many games he'll get but I think most know that its only a matter of time.
Hopefully there will be something left to salvage from this season.

The problem is the shitbag owners who bottled it in the summer. He should have gone then instead of being given a load of cash to waste on more rubbish.

How come you never explain such sweeping statements in detail? Tell us how, exactly, letting Rodgers go now would be harmful but doing so after the Chelsea game wouldn't.

Seriously? I have to explain the difference between letting him go now or giving him a fair chance with this new squad?

That is another issue and something I might even agree with.

They didn't so maybe we should try to get behind that?

If you haven't copped onto that he is a clueless gobshite so far, there is not much to say really.

The longer he's kept on, the less likely that becomes. Unattractive though the idea of dropping a manager this early in the season may be, not doing so would make the season a write-off.

What you have to explain, as my post made quite clear, is why letting him go now "would harm us on so many levels as a club" but letting him go after the Chelsea game wouldn't.

Rodgers is clearly a sitting duck.

He'll be gone when we have someone lined up, I dont think a run of results, good or bad, will change that.

I cant see what the owners are thinking will happen from here on in.
Hes dead man walking, its blind faith and nothing more to keep him now.

I wont start all the 'Hes a cunt' and wanting us to lose because its not my way, but I am not going to be all high and mighty about it, I can see why people feel that way.
This is going to get worse before it gets better.

Nail on the head.

We are playing our worst football this century and have only so far deserved two points. One against Stoke and this one today. We are lucky to have eight points. We could easily been bottom of the league.

We could have won today but so could Norwich if they had scored the sitter at 1-1.

It's Norwich at home. A game we should boss from start to finish. They should be afraid to come to Anfield instead clubs like Norwich know that they have nothing to fear and play to win because they know it is a fair chance to get three points.

@thisisanfield: #LFC have 2 goals and 4 points from home games against West Ham and newly promoted teams Bournemouth and Norwich.

It's politically unsound. It would make everybody is the club look like twats. First they back him and then fire him after 5 matches?! Where is the sense of structure and direction. The only way you could take that direction is if they sell the club and the new owners axed him.

Imo axing after 5 games and that kind of backing demands the entire government and not just the PM.
It would be an invitation to ridicule of LFC on an much broader level than what's going on on the pitch. It's a small clubs action in every possible way.

Imo backing and then sacking would reflect poorly on brand. Would it help us getting better sponsor deals? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't help because the only way you look after an action like that is like massive amateurs. That kind of imaging is just bad for business all around.

Giving him 5 matches more would make it clear for all, if he lost, that a mistake was made and the only way forward is the axe.

You want to jump the gun. I'm telling you it's bad business all around.

If you can't come to terms with the political side of things I can only say I'm glad you're not in charge. I think how we represent as a club is extremely important.

I bet it gets better before it gets worse.

Lol. Like everyone at the club doesn't look an amateurish twat already.

Hmmmm....I don't think you understand what a whoosh is.

It's when you completely miss the point like you just did. You don't listen to reason. You never did.

The admission of guilt is so much more complex than what you scribbled out in yet another one liner above.

To completely dismiss the political issue in all this is just below par.

To come here and call for his head and completely disregard the political aspect is naive and a bit childish.

I'm guessing your not exactly Ace on a chessboard...

It could also show strenght to sack him and admit that you made a mistake and that they will do everything they can to save this season. In five games it could be to late. If they sack him now then a top four place is still realistic. If they keep him a top four place is very unrealistic. It is all about how big goal a top four place is.

This! That's the level right there. Nothing more to say.
