One thing is clear from that link. They have relegation worries and they are desperate for a reliable premier league goalscorer. Benteke fits their profile perfectly.
It is not just about accepting 23 or 25 million plus add ons. There is also the payoff to Benteke. If Palace's wages being offered to Benteke is 25K lower per week, that is close to a million payoff for each year of contract Benteke has with us.
We have become somewhat good at selling players. We will get a good deal for Benteke.
No problem, I sometimes want to see how it is on the other side of the "fence".
My understanding is that some Palace fans are mad because we've made our stance quite clear, we're not budging and they're still trying to low ball us.
Also, they recognise that Benteke is a proven goal scorer and his worth hasn't depreciated that much.

Problem is according to Pearce the 7m add-ons would never be reached so they would only be paying 23m for him. Hence why we've rejected the bid. We're not going to sell him on the cheap just because we no longer need him...that's just stupid. If Deeney is worth £25m and stones is worth £47 then benteke is worth £30m.
