Is Lee on the shots again?
Benteke and Lucas leaving for roughly 35m takes us to a net spend of about -15m for summer.
Now you could say thats looking like a strong summer of clearing the decks and bringing in some decent calibre.
You could also say we are penny pinching cunts and we need to spend big on a forward and a LB quick smart, because once again Sturridge has done a Sturridge and Moreno is very much a massive Moreno.
With the season starting Saturday its not ideal, and I really do hope we spend SOME of this 250m TV windfall this summer.
If the wind is right a DM and another CB wouldnt be a bad fucking shout either.
We dont look light on options but some of the options we have are simply not up to scratch.

Klopps reading of the LB situation is cause for concern. Anyone who watched us last season could identify Moreno as a massive liability and yet so far all Klopp has done is sell the two back up LB, attempt and fail to sign a kid from Leicester uncapped in the Premier League and has since talked up Milner there. Hopefully we get it sorted soon because the LB situation is looking more of a shambles by the day.
Once the deal for Benteke is done we will buy a Left Back..

I don't know where we get this tv windfall from, without european football we could potentially receive less tv money than last year. I am sure FSG want to recoup some of the loan for the new stand too. Where are the left back options to sign anyway, there seems to be a bit of a dearth of them atm. It would seem that we have got Milner / Moreno for this season.
I'm curious here, do you think its the owners plans not to invest in the playing squad, over expanding the stadium? So for example, say we didn't sell anyone this summer, you think they wouldn't have given Klopp a penny to spend?
I've seen nothing whatsoever to indicate this is how they've run the club or intend to run the club so maybe I've missed something. Or are your comments about their plans what you 'assume' might be going on so have 2+2=42?
Whether there have been financial restrictions put on Klopp or not it's still strange that rather than strengthen the left back area by purchasing a new one or trying to get Chillwell (buying a young player to compete with Moreno) , that he's chosen to discard the back up options he had in favour of a midfielder.
The scariest thought being that maybe he rates Moreno that highly that he doesn't think it's a problem position.

Moreno is the main reason we are not in the CL this season, and the main reason we wernt playing in the super cup last night. I'm not sure I could stand another season watching his ineptitude.
They are investing in the playing squad, but if you have revenue to make from players sales that can fund the investment, whilst you have large bills to pay, then of course you are going to take advantage of it.. Its just not going to be public knowledge that is the case what they are doing.. These are clever business people..
Giving the ever decreasing value of the pound against the dollar, they are certainly going to want to pay the stadium expansion off a lot sooner than later, the increased TV money revenue will certainly help with that target..
Rodriguez (buyout clause Euros 24M), De Sciglio (supposedly 17m), Hector (20m) are the top three. I've also seen Criscito from Zenit and Gaya from Valencia mentioned (not linked) though I don't remember ever having seen them play so those are not even on my radar. Can anyone else suggest anyone not called Amavi, Childwell or Willems ?
He sold the other left backs because they are not good enough - its that simple. I think Klopp has an idea who and what he is looking for. He will get the man he needs. I dont think for one min that Klopp does not realize the limitations of Moreno. How does one forget his mindless actions against Norwich or his truely poor decision making in the Europa final ? I dont think Klopp has.
Given the sheer amount of sideline bollockings, hard stares after incompetence and then occasional arm around the shoulder meetings after a halfway decent display I'd say Klopp has as much information about Moreno as is needed to make a decision.
