Christ Vlad, no need to get so offended, I only asked a question. As for Konoplyanka, wasn't it widely reported that we agreed a deal with him, and met the release clause, but Dnirpo refused to sign the agreement, despite the fact they legally had too? I don't think anyone at LFC can be blamed for that. I'm 100% of the opinion this Ayre hate is due to him being an easy target (see Harley in being Liverpool, the aforementioned drunk photo, and his gormless face) moreso than him actually doing much wrong (I'm not claiming he's brilliant), but each to their own!
Sorry old chap, I was just a tad irritated at the correct assumption that we really don't know what goes on behind the closed doors, which is correct, but then through the thread you go on to tell us that it's not Ayre's fault when things don't go our way.
The Dnipro thing was all sorted, but we bungled the transfer of funds, and blamed them for the breakdown, which they took exception too and told us what really happened.
Localny makes a point we have progressed under Ayre, I would say we have progressed through FSG. He also says he is a local lad which helps, I think that has helped him in FSG eyes, and the fact they are mainly absentees, I would point out , and I am fairly sure on this, but our greatest administrator Peter Robinson managed OK and he was not a local.
I may be a little unfair on him, but clearly the popular perception is not great, not helped by the aforesaid incidents, could you ever imagine David Dien, behaving like that? The position requires a little more gravitas and decorum.
I still remain unconvinced at his negotiation skills when the going gets tough, I don't know, it's true, but there have been too many examples of us earmarking our prime targets and failing, this window should be easier in many ways, but harder in others.
