Yeah, he's obviously shit. And he's German. Two strikes.
Two goals for Dempsey, one absolute cracker.
The US were so lucky in this game - Germany missed sitter after sitter, and to hear the (it's never going to change it, is it?) US commentary go on and on about what a 'MASSIVE game this is blah blah blah' or explaining how a CF has to play ... The US should just continue to look for players like Jones, who oozes class, to compliment Bradley (who's actually a very good player) ...
Dempsey's second goal was a great hit, but he's an absolute twat and that's why he'll be stuck on Spurs' bench next year.

The thing is I guarantee you that nobody on here that raves about him has ever watched him play 90 mins.

The season before, he conceded 2 more (24) than Bayern Munich (22) and 1 fewer than then-Champions Dortmund (25) despite playing for a 4th place team. They lost the likes of Reus, Neustadter and Dante. He managed 15 clean sheets then.
He has 9 clean sheets this season, joint 4th highest in Bundesliga. Same number for Lloris and 2 fewer than De Gea. The likes of Valdes and Casillas had 8.

I think it's because there was a line drawn in the sand last summer between posters on SCM saying he was good and LFC should sign him and the other side saying he wasn't good enough. People are still wrapped up in those arguments and not looking at him objectively IMO.
Dempsey is now second on all time U.S. scoring list, his two yesterday pushed him past Wynalda.
Altidore's goal might have been the best of the bunch though. If he can take his chances with the national team like he has been for AZ in Holland he could become quite the international talent.
I don't have Sky so the only football I do get to see regularly are the German and Italian matches on ESPN. I think Ter Stegen is a good keeper, error prone at times yes but he's only 21 and let's face it, how many keepers don't have one or two dodgy matches?
