There's some people who spend way more time than is healthy on this who claim it's simply impossible due to 'right to light' claims from residents. No idea if this is true though.
Im sure there are plans to knock down most of the housing around the ground and rebuild, this maybe took into consideration. If its the main stand and anfield road to be developed i think the club has most of the houses on that side.

We are going on about the owners not supporting the manager, what about us not supporting the owners.
Just think back to those court cases and Hicks and Gillettt trying every trick in the book, then FSG coming out triumphant, I have never been so happy at a result, and apart from one or two who always like to think different so was everyone else.
Now at the first difficult decision people are questioning them, their motives and integrity, we really do need to cut them some slack

I'm cutting them no slack till they earn it until then I'll remain somewhat reserved about them. They're no worse than the two cancers of course, not even on a level, but they've still a way to go in my book. They can start with laying the groundwork for a new stadium. They've cleared the decks to implement their footballing strategy now and that best be right. No-one can deny theyre intelligent astute people but I still have my doubts they grasp football at all and they still appear to rely on advice from others. I'm not on their case but neither am I buying fully into what they're preaching either

Both the Pope and the Dalai Lama must envy FSG for the degree of blind faith they inspire. So far they merit zero trust, zero faith.

I don't think you can really hold that against them Sunny, that they rely on advice from others, what would be ignorant would be to think they can transfer all of their sporting experience in the US to English football, they may have even thought that way to begin with. They've seeked support and look like they've done their homework.

People forget it's a learning curve for them aswell. One thing we can say at the moment is despite the odd naive moments, they've by and large handled themselves with integrity and addressed issues head on, they certainly have in the last couple of weeks anyway. The Comolli issue being a prime example, they haven't tried to shoehorn someone else into the role, they've looked at what went wrong and how to better it.

Why? I don't understand that stance Macca, I know we're on the back of the fallout from G&H, but surely they deserve 'some' slack and some faith. They put their faith in two managers and allowed the club to invest in the team, while being new to an unfamiliar sport, club and culture. They could have shown caution themselves but they didn't. I don't necessarily think sacking Kenny was the right decision, but you can at least see what they're attempting to do with the club after the way it's gone over the last few years.

I don't think they're getting much undue blind faith at all, most people are cautious after what's gone on before but saying they merit fuck all is harsh, it's a two way thing. They need to earn the trust of the fans, granted, but all they can do is back the manager and make the crucial decisions when they need to be made.

I'm not holding anything against them Mark I'm just not convinced yet. If I was to hold anything against them it's the lack of stadium

I love Woland's lizard meme thing.

If the whole forum got behind it, do you think we could make it a global thing?

I guess the questions to ask now could be .....

Are you confident FSG will get the Manager and DoF (if they keep this structure) positions correct ?

Are you confident FSG can lead us back to the top of English and European football ?

Right now i guess the "No" vote would probably win both .

I haven't been too concerned with their ownership so far , i don't think they did too much wrong up to this point and sat quietly enough in the background . But with removing all the people they have , they have to take control of the major decisions now and i must admit a few small things about the way they are doing this have concerned me that they still don't get football or what is best to do .

And in this day and age of communication they'll argue that they don't need to be here but surely it would be better if they were . Show some proper leadership from the top . After the last few yrs we've had the media are loving the easy opportunities to paint us as a "shambles" and a club in crisis . It may well be bollox but i don't care what anyone says , the more people say it the more idiot players and managers believe it . We need to show we're still a top club and can be right up there again soon .

It's ridiculous that the owners have to be here, are the Glazers are camped out in the UK? Keeping things in house, away from the media is the way Kenny wanted it, how the owners like it (and frankly it's their choice) and it was the Liverpool way. People lauded it when it returned so why change now? Is it because the media are speculating over every rumour and spinning it like it's a shambles? If you don't like it, it's quite simple, don't read it.

It takes time to select/employ a manager and DoF, it's been what a week? Have patience. It took 3 weeks from sacking GH to hiring Rafa, any reason why something rash and immediate has to happen now?

When did i say i wanted them camped out here ? I don't really care where they are 99% of the time but just for the next week or so i don't see why it would do any harm for a number of reasons . I never said i wanted them to put more out in the media but i would like them to handle certain aspects of it better to stop this perception that we're a 'shambles' from spreading . You really don't think the football world (players , agents , managers , fans) don't believe alot of what the media say ? Worked well with the Suarez thing didn't it . Oh and nobody had any idea Kenny was leaving ....yep , we're great at keeping things in house .

And your Rafa point is useless as most of that 3 weeks were spent waiting for Rafa to finish up with Valencia and announce he was leaving . People knew he was the main man we were after for a while .

Behave, at what point are we a shambles? How twisted are you going to spin that everybody knew that Kenny was leaving? C'mon his results kinda dictated that rather what the media was sprouting. What do you want the owners to say? We're not backing him?

My point, which you've absolutely missed, about Rafa was that things are happening, you don't know what they are and nor do the ITKs or the media. There's so much speculation and you're choosing to believe we're a shambles. How about wait, and see what the outcome is before judging it. PATIENCE!!!!!

Behave ?

Seriously mate i have no idea what you are reading . I never said i thought we were a shambles , what i said was 'stop this perception that we're a 'shambles' from spreading "

ah fuck this , i'm not bothered going in circles with you .
