I don't agree with the interviewing process and I have a few doubts about how long it'a taking to make a decision on the stadium, but I still retain my faith in them.

Hiring Comolli - Mistake, but understandable to an extent. They got wrong man, though.
Firing Roy - Right decision
Giving the job to Kenny temporarily - Right decision.
Giving the job to Kenny permanently - Right decision - he deserved a chance.
Firing Kenny and Comolli - Right decision
Sponsorship deal - Brilliant
Warrior deal - Brilliant.

That's fine for me.

Quick! Burn the heretic before he poisons our minds with logic!

That snippet I posted last night about Standard Charter having £75m on the table for stadium naming rights was incorrect. It was actually £150m. Figures verified by two separate people. The Suarez incident cost us big time and no wonder heads rolled.

Ian Ayre:

If Fenway Sports Group (the owners) choose to go ahead with the new development on Stanley Park then the key has always been to sell the naming rights to help fund the build. On this matter Ayre added: "We are fairly well down the line with a couple of major brands who have shown significant interest in naming rights for a new stadium

Heads had to roll because the club handled the situation incorrectly. They had no communication plan on how to tackle the issue in the media.

However the backing Suarez received from the manager and players then is probably what will make him stay. If he gets sold, it won't be of his own accord. The longer the stadium issue drags on, the further behind we fall and the more expensive it becomes. FSG need to take the plunge and move ahead by getting the issue put to bed. Time to deliver the stadium to guarantee a bright future.

Looking at the likes of RAWK, I`m shocked by the negativety towards the owners, the decison was taken to sack Kenny which I don`t agree with but I don`t understand the fans on RAWK losing their heads. Henry and Co deserves some patience to allow them to implement their vision of the club.

For me we seem to have a large group of supporters unable or unwilling to accept that football has changed and if the club don`t adapt now it could become a relic...Supporters of the club are throw into the same bracket now, whiny and stuck in a 70/80`s time warp....

We may lose some of our soul to move forward but football is a soulless beast now and if some fans want to see us maintaining ways of work that havent worked for 20 years, they shouldnt also be demanding titles and European Cups..Henry and Co were straight from the start, the revenue generated by the club would be pumped back into the team, that is why the focussed on the top 4, the CL is only show in town now.

I really hope some of our fanbase wake up to the new reality of football now. My worry is that our owners will start thinking the club have a toxic set of supporters and decide the club isn`t really worth the hassle.

You can see it with how some fans on the likes of RAWK moan about OOT`s, these type of guys want a return to the days of hearing only locals on the Kop and having someone piss on their trouser legs.

As a club we need to respect our history but now is the time to wake up and accept the new reality of football. If we do that maybe someday we will talk about having won 25 league titles and 8 European Cups.

For too long this club has let other clubs race ahead off and on the pitch and I bet our owners were shocked at the state of the club when the looked inside. For change to really happen within any organisation it has to be embraced by all the stakeholders and we as supporters need to support this long overdue overhaul of the club.

Call me what you want but I believe our owners want the club to be successful.

One solution to deal with the poisonous local fanbase would be for FSG to move their soccer franchise to another, more appreciative city, like happens in the States (with American football, at least).

I think they want it, I'm just not convinced they'll be able to.

Your opinion confuses me a little, you seem very pro sos, but believe me their views match what you're reading & dislike, whatever they say in public.

I didnt say local fanbase, I said "some fans" the problem with these fans is that they are contiunally moaning and think the represent the majority of fans..

I think they're entitled to go to sleep to the new reality of football now. At best it infantalises you. At worst it corrupts you. There's no shame in people washing their hands of the whole sordid business.

They can't do that (any more) in the UK. They changed the rules after Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes

I didn't realise that.

How far does that extend though? I mean, if Tottenham had moved to the Olympic Stadium it would be the other side of London. Nowhere near Tottenham.

Or if, say, Everton were to move just outside Liverpool, would they not be allowed to?

Everton should be allowed to move as far away as possible and hopefully their fans will follow.

If I see one more Everton tattoo at the gym I'll despair.

I saw a guy on the train earlier with an england tattoo, spelt 'englend'

The mind boggles.
