Assaidi and Pacheco on the way out ?

Assaidi will probably be more valuable in a part exchange deal compared to a direct sale.

Assaidi is shite. Has been since day one.

Fuck him off toute de sweet.

Really? I can't really make much of an assumption, certainly not as bold as that one, given he's barely played, but when he has he's looked a bit of a live wire and fairly exciting as a prospect. For what ever reason he hasn't settled in but judging him from the few performances he has made, he was far from "shite from day one", certainly no more so than Joe Allen proved to be over the course of alot more games, but he's young too and shouldn't be written off, even if there is alot more to look at in terms of game time to make a sound (and fair) assessment.

I believe I've seen more of Assaidi than most here since I also watch the African cup of nations and I think Ryan has a point. Well not that he's shit, he's just not good enough for Liverpool I think.
At his best he can be like you said a live wire but at his worst he looks like a confused 5 a side player.

Brendan doesn't seem to rate him either so I think he's definitely a goner.

Yeah, like I said, there's not much to judge him on (for us), but I wouldn't say he's been shite, he's looked sharp and a genuine threat, whatever his abilities over the course of a season and tactically, based on what we've seen he hasn't been "shite since day one", has he? That's just being dismissive and overly critical for the sake of it because we know he's going.

Asaidi while young and sometimes exciting to watch isn't cut out for Liverpool. We need a much better player. He is out of his depth and lacks confidence.

I'm not suggesting he's good enough, people are missing the point. He's going, he's not made it, so I trust the managers judgement that for footballing reasons or whatever, he doesn't have a future here. I was pointing out that reasoning that he's been "shite" is untrue and unfair. What little I have seen of him for us he's looked like he has some good ability and was fairly exciting to watch, there's a difference between that (and I'm not alone, as Keni and a few others have said the same) and dismissing his performances completely.

Assaidi always looked like a gamble. Which for the sum we paid is of course perfectly fine. Sometimes these deals work out, sometimes they don't. Making small, speculative stabs in the market seems like a sensible strategy to me. As opposed to the drunken-millionaire-in-casino strategy we have sometimes utilized in the past.

I agree that we should trust the managers judgement but the lad hasn't had a fair go. When he played in Eredivisie, he looked a prospect. Maybe he is suffering from a chronic lack of confidence that stems directly from BR's lack of confidence in him. A knock on effect if you will. Loaning him out may well work in our favour but very few loanee's are actually recalled and make a career for themselves.
