Suarez changed the game, such energy and dynamism. Henderson doesn't seem to believe in himself, always looking to get rid early. It's a pity because he shows such energy and athleticism when he's on the ball.

Raul has to start against Bolton.

i think henderson just doesn't want to put a foot wrong and incur the wrath of the impatient fans (don't blame him). But he's got skills and he's intelligent. Hell improve as he settles. Plus i loved his dead eyes to frimpong at that throw in

Kelly was fantastic. An amazing performance that took near enough everything out of their left side. Our full backs were too good

Our forward line was static before Suarez and Raul came on. Carroll was upfront alone most of the time without support. Kuyt played too deep most of the time to fill the second striker role. Suarez and Carroll upfront should be fine.


Delighted with Enrique and Downing as well.


I'd say stick with the midfield but drop Henderson for Raul.

Suarez & meireles CLASS CLASS CLASS they made the difference & they have to start every game...

You can't have lucas and adam together in the middle to SLOW.

Kuyt should never play in the team again his lack of QUALITY is their for all to see, thank fuck for kenny taking him off.

I agree. TBH in the first half i don't know who was playing with carroll. Kuyt and hendo were too deep and downing was everywhere, whipping balls in.

Neil, if ball retention was our only aspiration from RW/CM then we could have played Maxi. We expect more out of Henderson. Yes he's young and new to our team but i'd like to see him impose himself a little more. Kelly is a similar age and tries to impact the game from RB.

Adam and henderson played well today modo. I really don't know what you're expecting a 20 year old to do on his second appearance for the club? Adam played well from deep. Which is his position. and he kept possession. At a ground where it's phenomenally hard to keep the ball.

You seem to be the only one thinking that Hendo and Adam played well today. I'll give Adam decent.
Hendo was poor. just say it, instead of disguising it with phrases like, "I hope there's more to come" and "he doesn't believe in himself".
He shouldn't be in our starting line up.
Carroll and Kuyt were poor as well. But I admit I'm actually neglecting them to wind people up because I've taken so much stick about Aquilani.
So sorry Fabs, you're a good poster. I'm actually extremely happy with the win and I'll stop acting like an asshole, for a while at least.

THANK YOU, gene. keep the ball FIRST. we've been all over the fucking place away from home, in henderson yo have someone who will keep the ball (under pressure) and will work back and when the oppertunity presents itself then henderson will create.

I thought we played very well given the conditions of the pitch and who we're up against.

It was nothing special but nonetheless a very disciplined and controlled performance.

I love how we're now able to put in dangerous crosses into the box and can attack with width, unlike previously when everything goes through the middle.

It's been a longggg time since we had beautiful attacking play down the lines from overlapping fullbacks on BOTH flanks. Wonderful on the eyes.

It's not champagne football yet but we're definitely on the right track.

Thumbs up for the entire team incl. Dalglish.

You're right I'm being too harsh but he shouldn't be in our starting line up. Despite his "mature" performance.
I'd rather have a "mature" Meireles in the line up or an even older Gerrard.

Working back and keeping it simple is now good enough for us? I thought we wanted to remove Kuyt off them team with someone better? I like Henderson but he isn't exactly 'ripping' it up. I'd alternate between Dirk and Henderson for the year. Yes it's only Henderson's second game and he;s done nothing wrong but lets not pretend he's wowing us. Raul should start ahead of him next week.

no one has mentioned it so I will. I can't believe the push on kelly wasn't a goal that could have EASILY been a goal for arsenal. it makes you angry that the carroll 'goal' was punished for a far softer push.
