Foul throws. Either enforce them all or scrap them completely. I speak from a position of acute trauma - we had a teacher when I was a kid who hated football and took his revenge by making the foul throw his major issue as a reluctant referee, claiming that pretty much any kind of throw was a foul throw, to the point where none of us wanted to take a throw-in, and if forced to we'd just stand there, paralysed with fear. It made us all go off and study the rules with an intensity unknown in other areas of learning. So even now I notice every single one of them with painful clarity. But refs only seem to blow when they're bored, because they know that otherwise it would happen too often. So stop it!

I'm pretty sure 90% of the throws in the premier league are foul throws now.

It bloody infuriates me.

I have not forced my son into football or LFC, I'm still unsure if this makes me a good or bad father. Wouldn't be that bothered if he did not watch the game

Neither have I.

My eldest has little interest & I'm not pushing him to.

His life would probably be better without following any premiership club, football isn't fun to support anymore, even when your side is winning it's not worth the money time or effort.

If I could make it all vanish I probably would do.

Obstruction and indirect free kicks. What has happened to them? Obstruction used to be an easy way for a referee to give a free kick in the area without awarding a penalty but they only seem to give it for the goalie picking a pass back up nowadays. Indirect free kicks have disappeared altogether.
And why do forwards get penalised for turning a defender by using their body but defenders (mostly full backs) can obstruct the forward from getting the ball whilst it rolls over the goal line. Stupid referees!

I reckon you should encourage it. It's a relatively harmless channel for tribalism and religiosity.

He might become a Jehovah's witness or something otherwise.

Barcelona players doing TV commercials is like some kind of Faustian payback. If you earn as much as that lot do there's no need to humiliate yourself like that. The one when Suarez is on a horse and he has to hold up a couple of pistols and grin, well, it's something you'd expect of some ITV4 z-lister desperate for a few more minutes of fame. Woeful stuff.

I still feel Torres leaving like that is the biggest slap in the face for LFC in the modern era. It cemented our place as also-rans and was indicative of our new standing in world football.

It's really hard to give a shit about corporate football developments even if it means more money for the club

Mascots. I genuinely want to assault them. Absolute abominations. Whoever volunteers to get inside one should be chemically castrated.

Definitely. If FSG clean house this summer I'd like him to be first out the door.

There's a man ready to go.
A man with a tie rack.
A tie rack with fantastic ties.
A man called Rick Parry.

If any of you lads from Liverpool want to put music over that and record it, feel free.

Football these days sucks. There's no such thing as loyalty anymore. And agents are destroying the game.

Even if we get a world-class talent one day (and it's written in the history books that we will always get at least one playing for us eventually), you just know that in today's commercial world, he will only stay with us for a maximum of 3 years, i.e. if you're lucky. And if you have a young emerging world-class talent, you just know he will leave in a few years' time.

Torres
Suarez
Sterling

All numpties.

Bradley: don't even joke about it. Parry being the alternative would be the one and only thing that would save Ayre's job if I were making the decision. At least Ayre did a good job commercially before he was promoted a step too far. Parry did bugger all.

I hate football. Love Liverpool, but hate football. Used to watch every single game I could between Saturday morning and Monday night... Now, I can barely get through watching us play our game, never mind watch another game.

If I still lived at home, I'd long since have started paying more attention to the LOI than to the Premier League... It's not a sport any more. It's just another business and if you're not Chelsea or City, you're probably not winning the league ever again.

Imo there's gonna be very few dedicated footy fans in twenty years time in this country.

The sky generation factors in, but prices & the never ending campaign to make superstars if the very best in the game are playing a huge part.

Luke says he supports Barcelona now, as do almost all his schoolmates.

I'd love to see figures on average age of attendees to premiership matches, I bet it's rising year on year. That's not sustainable.

Amen to that.

My sons play ice hockey and my daughter is into gymnastics.

Bless.
