I do, but if some are entitled to repeat themselves when declaring their love for Lallana, I think I'm entitled to repeat my scepticism.
It's just that we've talked ourselves into thinking that he's this one of a kind player who's worth a lot of money when he really isn't.

Back to Sanchez, we need at least one inspiring signing imo, he's just the type of player we need.

That bolded bit is your stock response, and it's total cr@p, of which this thread is the perfect illustration. The thread's about Sanchez and there was bugger all need or reason for you to bring Lallana into it.

Why aren't they after Lallana?
Didn't he turn them down?

(I'm aware that's was just a rumour, but seems as your weight of evidence for them being interested in Sanchez is a rumour also, all is fair)

Why weren't Man Utd ever interested in Suarez? It's a shit bollocks argument.
Its a great argument he's the flavour of the year in the prem. Every top team in England has seen him, if he's so top class why bother signing Sanchez?
I'd love to see a Sanchez vs Lallana thread.

Great idea, create one

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal eyes up move for Alexis Sánchez

Alexis Sánchez has been identified by Louis van Gaal as a summer target for Manchester United, with the manager considering a move for the £20m-rated Barcelona forward.
Although United’s interest has yet to reach any advanced stage, the manager is a firm admirer of the Chile international, who will face Van Gaal’s Holland during the World Cup in Brazil.

United would want to sell one or two of their forward players to ensure Van Gaal’s squad remains uncluttered if Sánchez were to arrive. This would mean that Nani, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia and Shinji Kagawa, plus possibly the strikers Javier Hernández and Danny Welbeck, could be under threat as the manager assesses his new squad and how he wants the side to play.
Van Gaal has often utilised a 4-3-3, meaning he requires only one dedicated striker, with his team placing emphasis on pacy widemen. When in charge of Bayern Munich he operated with Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben on the flanks in this fashion.
However, Van Gaal has also proved flexible regarding team formation, usually deciding on the best shape to fit the players at his disposal.
Sánchez, at 25 and following an uneven three years at Barcelona, fits the profile of the young and hungry footballer Van Gaal often favours. The 2014 World Cup will Sánchez’s second, plus his experience in the Champions League as well as featuring in a La Liga-winning team with players of the quality of Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta and Xavi at Barcelona, the hope would be that he could help make Manchester United serious title contenders next season.

Sánchez played a single season for Cobreloa in Chile, 2005-06, before moving to Italy with Serie A’s Udinese. He was loaned out by the club to Colo-Colo in his home country and River Plate in Argentina, winning the countries’ respective championships.
After three years in Udinese’s first team he was signed by Pep Guardiola for Barcelona in summer 2011 for around £21m. He has won a La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, two Spanish Super Cups along with the Uefa Super Cup and the Club World Cup during his time at Camp Nou.
Wayne Rooney has been offered support from the former England manager Glenn Hoddle, following some suggestions that the United striker should be dropped for the opening World Cup game against Italy on Saturday.
Hoddle said: “Rooney can finally establish himself as a world class performer and take Brazil by storm over the next few weeks but only if he calms down. He simply must relax. I would tell him that in order to reach his peak on the biggest stage he needs to relax and play his normal game. He tries too hard to live up to his reputation as a world-class player and it shows.”

Glenn Hoddle is lol, did anyone see his team for Italy the other day? Lampard alongside Gerrard in the middle, wonder if he has lost a few of his press mates who still bang his drum to be England manager again after seeing him come out with that one, he doesn't rate Hendo at all, said as much.

NO ONE mentioned Lallana, YOU mentioned him and LTW rightly pointed out that United reportedly were in for him but he turned them down. Stop repeating yourself.

So no one has mentioned Lallana in another thread except in the Lallana thread?

Modo and Mark are banned from this thread (come around for an expresso, espresso, and we'll talk more offline )

No one mentioned him here, you said you were retaliating to the Lallana love (which is an exaggeration anyway), you've already done that in the Lallana thread, let it go. You've battered the Lallana thread with the same point, then asked one of your mates to post a poll to make exactly the same point and you've ruined this thread by acting like a dick - "Why aren't United in for him?", you've already been torn a new one over that typically obtuse, braindead comment.

Like said elsewhere, there's a myriad of factors that make it far from a simple "should we pay £25m for Lallana or Sanchez", all of which you conveniently chose to ignore when pointed out to you. There's a surprise, Modo shirking valid questions because he's got the mentality of an 8yr old playing on Fifa.

Perhaps serial squabblers should switch to private messages should they feel a squabble brewing which would eliminate much of the posturing and playing to the audience.

Or perhaps that's why they do it in the first place...

I've just got back into futurama cos Luke's taken a shine to it. Not that he gets more than a quarter of the jokes, but he likes it anyway.

Should be interesting to see sanchez against a better side.

Would be a dream signing, probably bs

Why a dream signing ? I know a lot of people on this forum are jumping on the Sanchez band-wagon but Dream Signing ?

I have seen very little of him so take this with a pinch of whatever (puts a line down for Hmmmmmm) but he loses possession, a lot, his passing is sometimes excellent but often astray and his decision is very so-so to say the least. Yes he looks good on the ball and his flicks and turns are entertaining but will he be a team player ? Jury out for me, I am rarely convinced that players from Northern SA or Central America have the mentality for the PL.

He's not really about flicks and tricks, is very much a team player and pretty much built for any league as he's fast and strong.

In some ways he's not a dream signing because he's not as glamorous as some. We know his ceiling in terms of ability so there is no dreaming we've signed the next Ronaldo.

He's a top class attacker though.
