On the match thread some said we weren't pretty and we didn't deserve it but I'd argue the opposite about both. I thought we played some really nice stuff and we deserved the win. I thought Coutinho deserved to stay on, but maybe he was more tired than he seemed, but other than that I thought it was a very good indeed.
I've yet to see the whole match yet so I was just being flippant. We didn't play badly.
agreed - put spurs on the back foot.I also thought it was a very brave team selection from Mr Rodgers.
In Downing, Coutinho, Sturridge and Suarez we pushed a lot of players forward, including Enrique, Johnson and Gerrard.
Against a team as strong and attacking as Spurs we basically only had lucas to sit.
Brave ploy.
You've clearly not been to north londonI loved it. The bar was full of spurs fans too. Athens seems to be full of Greeks who support London teams for some reason.

I liked everyone who said we didn't play badly, because erm... we didn't!
Don't get me wrong Allen did ok after coming on but to me it was Lloris that changed the game.
Personal errors like that often do and taken into consideration we looked a bit lost for ideas and a bit downhearted at that point we needed a bit of help imo.
Allen changed the game, we were much more compact in the middle and pressed much better as a result. Walkers cock up was caused by two players on the left pressing him, and when you play with a sweeper keeper like Lloris, you always run the risk of something like that happening, we should know that best of all with some of Reina's clangers in the past. Despite what all the pundits keep saying, we deserves that win and it wasn't a case of Spurs imploding.
As for the emphasis in the reports on Spurs imploding, there was none of that when City equalised due to our cock-ups in both games against them.
