There could never be an "inspirational" leader like Obama in the UK because the national cynicism is too deep. A British Obama would be laughed at and torn to pieces by the media.

I went for Lib Dems. They were the only party who bothered to put something through my door so I thought I'd reward their effort. That and Cameron is a cunt and as much as I like Brown, I cannot vote for Labour at present.

I have had a leaflet from the Palestinian supporters asking me not to vote for her.

She's not a councillor, she has been "parachuted in" from London as the Labour parliamentary candidate for Liverpool Wavertree constituency.
