I think I’m gonna go on a silent fast. We’ve got 6 cup finals to make history. A feat never been done before. I remembered 4 years ago we entered the CL final with so much confidence and with a peak Salah, Mane and Bobby. After only 30 mins everything fell apart. Overconfidence will be our downfall if we aren’t careful. But fear and pessimism is also cowardly.

I remember vaguely back then there were discussions about who was more suitable for us (before the managerial appointment) - Klopp or Ancelotti. I'm just glad we made the right choice and didn't just judge Klopp based on his last season with Dortmund (thanks to Ian Graham). 😀

Diaz+Mane+Salah (+Jota) is a big improvement on Mane+Firmino+Salah
Our bench though : Kelleher, Tsimikas, Gomez, Konate, Keita, Milner, Jota, Origi & Firmino. Wow.
Whereas Real are undoubtedly weaker without : Varane, Marcelo, Ramos & peak Ronaldo.
If we, the fans, are overconfident (I'm very confident but aware that Real are a very dangerous side even if we are heavy favourites) that is of course totally irrelevant when talking about the team and manager.
So we can feel great and confident and if it doesn't work out so be it, but fear that what we say or do will influence the final (as it obviously won't) shouldn't be used to shut us up and deny us the joy and anticipation of the final and substitute that with fear and trepidation as some on this forum will do (I'm not talking about you)! That's inane and akin to burning witches.

The only thing that scares me is Trent with that stupid forearm nudge in the box will be expected and Vinicious Junior will go down at the slightest touch. Just hope whatever plan Klopp has for our right hand side defensively is far more protective of Trent than in our other games. Because that pace is scary.
Haha I didn't forget - he's still there even if no longer at his peak (and TBF neither are the 32 yr old Kroos, the near 37 yr old Modric or the 30 yr old Casemiro) !
