I've never understood why goalkeepers aren't valued as highly as outfield players. Buffon and Ederson were 30 million + but then we drop to 18 million for De Gea. That's for someone who will probably play every league game they are fit for and has the responsibility for keeping the ball out of the goal. Bit mad isn't it?

Suppose you could argue that there isn't a plethora of world class keepers on the move but the market in general has always seemed stable throughout the years.

Pickford going for 30 million and Oblak potentially going for crazy money might act as the catalyst to inflate the market but surely it's being coming.

Hahaha I was actually at that game in Dec 2009. We were fucking dire that day. No wonder he didn't sign. I wouldn't have either. Rainy day and the crowd weren't that into it.
