Add to the list KHL as chief scout.

I think he would just be happy being our Danish scout.
No he'd definitely want control over all scouting with an exclusive Danish only recruiting policy. He'd also get involved with the commercial side of things negotiating a 250m naming rights deal for the new Danepak Bacon Stadium (just outside of Copenhagen).

I'm sure Sami will be back at Anfield in some role too in the coming years.
See we're getting there.

Laudrup - Manager
Carragher - Assistant Manager
Sami - Defensive coach
Sammy Lee - Sammy Lee
Kenny Dalgliesh - Mentor
Ha ha !

Hopefully the septic's won't be in charge when the time comes to make this decision.

Jose would be my first choice, but being realistic i'd opt for someone like Blanc.

Redknapp, MON, McLeish, Sven, Rijkaard, Hiddink and Hodgson can all fuck right off.
can you explain why you want some of the people listed to fuck right off?
I don't want any of them near our club Spidey.

What meaningful trophies have MON, Mcleish, Hodgson and Redknapp ever won in all the years they've been management?

Sven is just a slimy twat.

Rijkaard has found his level at Galatasaray and Hiddink has been living off of his achievements from many a year ago.
What trophies had Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish won as manager before they took over at LFC ?
Would you be happy if one of this lot MON, Mcleish, Hodgson or Redknapp was our next manager?

It's not like they've just broken into management (like Blanc), they've been around for years and done next to nothing.

I want either an established top notch manager or a young and promising one to take over ("if" Rafa does get the sack/leave)

Well, in hindsight it might....................*runs*

I just wrote this in another thread, but it really doesn't seem like a bad idea, so. . .

Carra. Player/manager.
The dream-constellation for me would probably be a Laudrup-type of manager with a Carragher-type of assistant by his side.

Actually Laudrup & Carra would do just fine.

PS I'm thrilled to see Mistadobalina (Mr. Bobdobalina) joining my Laudrup-bandwagon. It's awesome. There's room for more. Bunny your in too?
Im thrilled to be here! Its a nice warm feeling. Mmm all laudrupy!

It was last year right, when they tried to get him? or was it two years ago?
November 2007.

Not a bad shout.

No Sammy Lee. Supposedly he is causing problems behind the scenes too.

donut expenses getting out of hand?

he's doing quite well with l'OM too.
McCalren is doing quite well with Twente Enschede, lets get him instead.

The main thing is to get someone who the players will instantly respect and want to play for. I don't think that'd be the case with Hodgson or McLeish, who are basically just this season's version of Curbishley and Strachan (both of whom were among the favourites last time).

If we can't get Mourinho or Capello, I would hope we'd be looking at the likes of Rijkaard, Blanc, or - at a push - Martin O'Neill. The former two because they were great players, the latter because he's got a strong personality, knows the PL inside out, and generally seems to inspire respect/devotion in his players.

If Pellegrini can't speak English, I think you'd have to rule him out. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
precisely.

rijkaard would at the very least get us playing good football. even when he was at his lowest at barca they were playing great football. yeah yeah blah blah winning is the be all and end all but I'd sooo like us to turn into a team competent in possession. we were spoiled at the end of last year, that football was fantastic.

If it's a domestic manager it has to be Martin O'Neil. Not an absolute fan, bute he can get th best out of players, organise them well and gte results without spending large sums of money.

He won't win the League though. No-one we appoint will without being able to spend ridicolous amounts of money (50m+) in one transfer window.

Laudrup would be interesting, because of the history, and the fact he'd play a different style of football - though I'm not sure it would be any more successful. You could put Blanc and any number of foreign coasches in thet pot

Erriccson could come in a do a job. I think he's a real possibility. he ticks certain boxes. (not least FA Secretaries... boomtish!)

David Moyes is the one we should be after
1000% sure he would turn us down.

Sven?!

If it's a choice between him and the passion, new ideas and enthusiasm of a relative novice, I'd go for the latter every time
i like the idea of rijkaard very much but he may be a little lightweight for this job.
Lightweight?
He won 2 leagues and 1 CL with Barcelona
Co-managed the National team and now at Galatasaray where the pressure is very strong.
Thats heavy enough IMO.
No more of this anti-football please.

I'm not opposed to the idea of Rijkaard - the fact that he was a truly great player is an advantage, as it would make Stevie and certain others be more respectful straight away. But the idea of him being brought in to 'make us play football' worries me a bit. Does no one else remember what happened to Newcastle when they hired a black Dutchman (who was an even greater player) to bring them 'sexy football'?

Winning football is the priority, not a pretty passing game.
