Weekend games

They're mostly blaming Rooney for everything. I'm waiting for someone to suggest he was the man on the grassy knoll.
Yeah I'm on page 4 at the moment. It's hilarious.

In other news Palace have just gone 4-0 up - Looks like Sparky is fucked as well. 😀

Er no. How they're playing is fine, especially the last 3 games.
LOL - !!!!

I am kind of upset as I have always seen Jose as the special one, and now that vision and thought has been completely destroyed by the results of the last 3 games and the fuck up at Chelsea last week. Don't think I can cope with all this.

Like most other young English players, Eric Dier is overrated. Quite limited player in all honesty.

Previously you've objected (quite reasonably) to being lumped in with one or two Scando nutjobs on here, but that highlighted bit is something they've also said. "Some" young English players are overrated. Saying "most" are is nonsense.

Elsewhere in the forum Wijnaldum is getting a lot of praise for just doing the simple but necessary things well. That's what Dier does too. Nobody's saying he's a galactico, but good teams need water-carriers as well and he's a pretty decent one.

Yeah, some is more right then most. Badly worded that mate.

But Dier is overrated in my book. Think he looks better in the Spurs system then he really is, in my opinion obviously.

Nah, I agree with your initial post

Except its not even youth. Most English players are vastly overrated

Anybody find that pretentious captain "discussion" thing he has started doing disturbing? He is constantly getting into the refs face pretending to be all respectful yet complaining about any decision that goes against them, regardless.

Just drop the f bombs like u always do you twat.
He was booked for getting into the lino's face in the last few minutes, he was properly aggressive, had he moved forward half an inch further I think he'd have been sent off.

Sunderland are abysmal. Going down. Not a tough prediction but I'm hanging my hat on it already.

Spurs were poor too and hopefully some of these injuries will keep them out for a while

I reflect on three factors from the match, but only one of them I can improve. The first factor depends on ourselves, it relates to our individual mistakes and collective mistakes as individual players and as a team. We have to improve something, it is in our hands.

At 1-1 everyone thinks we are going to win the game. We were showing complete control, intensity, creation. But their second goal is a mistake that goes against our plan and our training, because our intention was for their wing-backs to be pressed and not let them progress.

And what happened was the guy gets the ball 20-25 metres away from our box and instead of being pressed, we give him the space to progress. Nordin Amrabat receives the ball and our left-back Luke Shaw is 25 metres from him instead of five.

The second factor is the referee and I can't control their mistakes. The third factor is luck, we didn't have it. We were the best team when we lost.

I think the third season Mourinho has already arrived within five games.

Can we already safely say that this United team is not winning the league this year? Maybe it's ridiculus to write off anyone after just 5 games, but I just see too many problems with their team and actually Mourinho's attitude is one of them. His inability to calmly deal with defeats just might his Achilles heel.

Credit has go to Watford - they have already been quite a lively team last year (giving us lots of problems as well) and Mazzari has them playing fearless football at the moment.

The blaiming of luck, his own players and the referees are happening much earlier then I thought it would.
Throwing his players under the bus doesnt usually happen before the 3rd season.

It's becoming quite the talking-point in the media this weekend. One of the pundits on MOTD (Jermaine Jenas, I think) predicted that both we and Chavski would finish in the top four. When asked which of the current favourites for a top four place he thought would drop out, he nominated ManUre.

Hopefully the injured Spurs players come back in time to beat Man City in 2 weeks. I don't like the fact that they're building a head of steam. Someone needs to stop them early and knock their confidence.

I thought before the season that Josés fortunes would depend a bit on how Pep would fare ar City. He just can't stand that others are appraised, rightly or not, and Pep certainly has got the better of him so far. He will turn even more sour, looking to catch a fight with media and all others in the coming weeks. If Leicester gets a point at Old Toilet they have a massive task coming to Anfield.

Already turning on his own players, this is wonderful. I was expecting this to happen but not until year 3 of the usual Mourinho cycle. So soon, it's like Xmas

Taken from RedCafe. The salty tears are delicious.

"I'm very close to just dropping us. I'm so fed up with us posting a couple of good games only for everything to regress, it's like repeatedly trying to climb out of a bog and sinking back into it.

I love this club and want it to succeed very badly but I can't really believe that I'm sitting here, angry, on another Sunday after another crap performance with yet another fortune of money spent and seemingly no improvement in the squad.

Mourinho has just come in so we can't expect to dominate every game, but this looks all too much like the last 3 seasons. Liverpool fans have gone through much worse than this, and I don't know how, I really don't know how much more underachievement I can put up with. The poor decisions by management and issues like this nonsense with Rooney is seriously testing my loyalty.

I was thrilled that we won the FA Cup last year but that actually feels miles off now. And it actually feels like something of a minor miracle that we won the thing. My expectations have been gradually sapped from me."

That's a good point. City look very very good so far. I wonder how Jose will fare if Utd do end up struggling and City carry on as they are. He's always been pretty odd but there is something of a man on the edge about him these days.

It's too early to be writing Utd off anyways. Loads of people had them down as title contenders at the start of the season and whilst that may be down to reputations rather than reality, I still can't see them having a Moyes / Van Gaal type season.

It all comes down to coaching and strategy - plus the quality of players compared to other teams players. To be honest there is no much difference between the top teams in terms of player quality - in this league we dont have a Suarez/Ronaldo/Messi to upset the balance of the force. In his first stint at Chelsea i would say that both Duff and Robben gave him an edge but seriously Pogba ? i dont think so. I think they got a lot of suffering to go through given that his overall tactics are outdated.

Also this City bollox needs to stop because they had the same points last season. One knock soon and I think they will fold a bit.

Place by place we have a very solid front four.

Studge
Coutinho -Firmino- Mane

City looks strong(er?) too

Aguero
Silva(Nolito?) - De Bruyne - Sterling (Sane)

Arsenal?

Giroud

United
Zlatan
Rashford-Rooney-Mktarian (Martial)

Chelsea
Costa
Hazard- Fabregas(?) - Willian

Spurs
Kane
Lamela-Eriksen-?

I think it's the flexibility and versatility we have that stands out. We look really really good going forward.
