Wee Joe Gomez

I think most always thought he would make it at CB and he's got the perfect partner to learn from.

Two points.

Hopefully he stays fit

Hopefully he reacts well to his first blunder at Cb, he often fell apart last year after a mistake that lead to a goal at RB

It's quick becoming clear why Klopp had no worrys letting Klavan move on, Gomez has been a revelation, poor the Lovren.

Picking up on Dreamies second point, as it's a good one. I think Gomez will cope with his mistakes a lot better in this back two than he did at right back, reason why is VVD. At right back, whilst it's part of a back four, it's a position that is yours alone to hold, in a back two, I think he's already massively benefitting from basically being guided by VVD, and following his lead, but that'll help him even more if he makes a mistake, VVD will guide him through it, and not allow him to fall into a mistake ridden rut.

Yesterday was the best ive seem him play.
Needs consistency but Christ if he could play like that regularly id be delighted.

Hes deffo a CB not a FB

The good news is Lovren is one of the best defenders in the world, so we should get 70 million for him. From Man U hopefully.
Absolutely ... according to Lovren he Lovren is one of the best defenders in the world.

If it hurt his development that much he wouldn't be playing this well now. Starting at fullback has been a good route to a first team place in another position for other players before him.

Will be harsh on Joe if Dejan steps straight back in after the international break if he continues to play like this.

So, Rodgers couldn't see into the future and predict a long term injury to a promising young player who he was trusting to play in his team (and who was repaying that trust with some excellent performances). Modo is saying Rodgers stymied his development because he played him. Which is some strange logic to say the least.

Lovren is better than joe Gomez and will take his place once his back fit that’s a fact.
