and i guess these sort of results are why we are most likely going to finish 6th.

to be honest i am fed up with this shite against shite teams ....did anyone truly feel we were going to win it after the pen miss ? we've seen it all before and it's a wreck the head. Nothing is changing . One step forward , one step back , one step sideways , another sideways and another .

Wigan's 1st clean sheet in 15 and guess who it against .

Scored 20 in 17 games ...shite .

And to top it off United go to fulham a week after we lose there and win 5-0 .

Actually the purpose of these signings was to sign players that created goal opportunitys, I remember Commolli banging on about it if I can remember rightly..

They all had half decent chances created average for their previous clubs, however the guy who was doing his research forgot to look at how many of them where actually converted I guess..

dirk, suarez and now adam with penalty misses. penalties are no longer a sure thing with us.

Now there was a severely underrated player for us, if there ever was one...

so true .. been thinking that myself for weeks . like they went and and got nice footballers but forgot to check if they can score . That stat must have been missing from their sabermetric database.
 
Another keeper displaying another world class performance against us didn't help but yeah, not good enough. Downing and kuyt were abysmal. Henderson was peripheral and basically our subs should have been doing poppers before they came on.

I don't think we're that far off though.

A goal in the first 30 mins wouldve made so much difference to our overall play.

The longer we go without scoring the more confidence the oppo gets, obviously, so once we start scoring regularly we'll stay on top of teams for the majority of the game. When we're playing with confidence our football is fantastic to watch. Those goals are literally all we need IMO.

We are playing like the mid team we are. There is no way we will be fighting for CL if we don't get our shit together.

We need creativity and balls in the middle of the park and a goalscorer. Not Henderson, not Downing, not Shelvey, not Maxi and not Kuyt. They are invicable too often and for too long. We lack a real leader.
