Currently living in Vancouver so it was an easy choice for me to choose a team to follow in a foreign land. The stadium is centrally located right across from my office and about 15 mins away from house. The Whitecaps recently moved to BC Place a stadium they now share with the BC Lions.

Some players you might know from their current squad.

Jay DeMerit : Formally of Watford and current USA international.
Young-Pyo Lee: Formally of PSV and Spurs.
Kenny Miller - Celtic, Rangers, Wolves, Scotland etc.
Andy O' Brien - Newcastle, Rep Of Ireland etc.
Barry Robson - Celtic, Middlesboro, Scotland.

On a side note, our very own Peter Beardsley lined out for the Whitecaps in the 80's.

I got a free tickets in work so I went to the game last week against Dallas. The whitecaps we're missing a few due to suspension, injuries and international call ups and we're beaten 2-0. Our seats we're fine as depicted below. Not too sure about the chavvy fireworks display before kick off though.

Barry Robson is the stand out player on the team. He was excellent and MOTM against LA Galaxy a few weeks ago. Koffie (young Ghanian player) looks to have bags of talent and is already one of their most important players. Kenny Miller is yet to score since he arrived and he didn't look sharp when I saw him life.
Whitecaps are currently looking good for a play off place. Which would be an excellent turnaround from their dismal year last year. They we're beaten by Seattle the other night and face Portland next. Hoping to get to another game before the season is out. Play Offs here we come!!

Whitecaps slipped down to 5th. A few points off a play off spot. Hopefully they can go on a run. La Galaxy are only third btw.

Great to see that the Whitecaps have made the playoffs (it's only their second season).
Big match tonight against the LA Galaxy - Robbie Keane is their leading scorer with 16 goals.

Forgot that was tonight. I'm doing a bad job at updating this page. Oops.

Dynamo looking poised for a good playoff run again this year.

Shame about Vancouver, anybody but LA I say, and that cunt Bruce Arena.

No surprise the Galaxy won in Beckham's last game, then we got to hear all about how he changed the culture with respect to the sport in America. The commentators also went on and on about Keane and ho he is one of e greatest in the world, and how great it was that he decided to play in America while still in his prime.

All in all, a lot of fun.

The Vancouver Whitecaps signed English midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker on Thursday.
Reo-Coker, 28, has played for several English Premier league sides, including West Ham, Aston Villa, and Bolton Wanderers.
The Whitecaps sent second-round picks in both the 2014 and 2015 MLS SuperDraft to the Portland Timbers in exchange for the first right of refusal for Reo-Coker.
