Bordering on shite as a matter of fact. I am a fan so no need to get paranoid Modo.

Haven't seen him play so I guess I can't say much. Hey, a one off game doesn't mean he's shit.
I'm kinda disappointed to see you so happy about his performance Fabio.
Saw the goal. That's exactly what Carroll needs, luck. Hope he keeps scoring.

I'm not happy with his performance, i'm borderline livid. He starts the game against good opposition, ONE WEEK before the season starts and he doesn't turn up. Do it against valerenga, against Malaysia xi, but at least have the fucking decency to do it in a friendly at home

Winning some useful free kicks now... and Cole is actually useful!
Decent delivery and we collectively bundle it over the line, 2-0.

Nope the greek went to hook it just a Kuyt poked it. If it had been the Greek it would have gone the other way into the goal

All over

2-0

Good!

I'm downloading the game later. I want to see how he did in the first half.

If what you're saying is true and not some kind of overreaction, I'll be livid as well.

Good perfomance and a good game. Best thing though was keeping a clean sheet tbh.

Carroll, Adam and Downing look very exciting, and when Henderson get firing on all sylinders he'll be ace aswell.
Add Suarez and Gerrard to this team and its strarting to look very good.

Aqua was shite and a disapointment. He'll be gone.

Of the new signings , the Henderson one 'concerns' me the most ....I just don't see where he fits in the team because he doesn't look comfortable out wide and i can't see him starting in the middle . Don't get me wrong , I'm all for spending on young talent but at the same time we need instant impact , especially if going to be a first team starter . Can't help but feel the money could have been better spent . Obviously though it's early days so hopefully he starts to show alot more and justify why the club rate him so highly.

Henderson played the U21s aswell, so he's a bit behind the rest of the team in terms of fitness and form.
He'll be good imho.

I think Hendo will come into his own in the 12/13 season meself
This season is just a warm up for his massive leap of ability

Jordan Henderson is gonna be some player. Lad has good movement, speed, power, good feet and tricks. That 16 bar will look a snippet for him.

From the little bits I've seen, Kuyt is better than Henderon on the right, and Adam, Ming, Aqua and Gerrard are better than him in the middle.

No big deal because he's a kid. But I wouldn't start him.

Pretty much this. Give him time though, no doubt he is a talent.

Just finished watching the game.
Not that impressed over all. Agger and Downing stood out.
Adam was OK.
Coincidence that Lucas returns and we keep a clean sheet?
Carroll did good.
Kuyt scored an important goal, as always.

It needs to be said that we're 2-3 weeks ahead of Valencia fitness wise, their season starts 2 weeks after ours. So I'm still not that confident about the Sunderland game.

Anyway, regarding the most important matter in the world at the moment: Aquilani's performance.

First of all he didnt have a good game, so let that be said. But he wasn't shit as Fabio and Hansern are saying.
He was playing in an advanced role behind Carroll. I'm not sure that it's the right position for him, he needs to be in the middle. I do think that was the initial plan but it didn't really work out that well between Adam and him. To big of a gap between them.
Aquilani needs to be to in the mix, he should be the one acting as a playmaker not behind the striker. He's not that type of a player.

It isnt the most important matter in the world. Liverpools performance was.
He was shit.
We played ok.
Downing, Agger and Spearing were good.
He was shit.

Just shut up.
[/quote]All of your sensibilities, intellect, savvy, common sense, smarts and decency were in the 'kay'

He was shit! He wasnt in the least arsed as far as I could see. He wasnt supposed to be beside Adam. Spearing was. And even if it wasnt his best position at least fucking try!. And as far as I saw he was the only substituted player who didnt bother his arse to applaud the fans. And he didnt tip someones dad or other day, who was his taxi driver. To be honest i would prefer if he ( and his agent) went away somewhere.

I always knew his eyes were too close together.
