Just finished watching the game.
Not that impressed over all. Agger and Downing stood out.
Adam was OK.
Coincidence that Lucas returns and we keep a clean sheet?
Carroll did good.
Kuyt scored an important goal, as always.
It needs to be said that we're 2-3 weeks ahead of Valencia fitness wise, their season starts 2 weeks after ours. So I'm still not that confident about the Sunderland game.
Anyway, regarding the most important matter in the world at the moment: Aquilani's performance.
First of all he didnt have a good game, so let that be said. But he wasn't shit as Fabio and Hansern are saying.
He was playing in an advanced role behind Carroll. I'm not sure that it's the right position for him, he needs to be in the middle. I do think that was the initial plan but it didn't really work out that well between Adam and him. To big of a gap between them.
Aquilani needs to be to in the mix, he should be the one acting as a playmaker not behind the striker. He's not that type of a player.
[/quote]He was shit.
It isnt the most important matter in the world. Liverpools performance was.
He was shit.
We played ok.
Downing, Agger and Spearing were good.
He was shit.
