Betting Turning £100 into £2,500 (1% per day challenge 2014/15)

In previous seasons I started a 3% per day challenge, the theory being if you can make 3% profit every day you can turn £100 into £350,000+ over the period of a season.

The problem is that this is totally unrealistic as there are not enough "certainties" to bet on and sooner or later you fall behind target. The challenge always fails because you are forced into taking on bets you otherwise wouldn't in order to try and keep on course.

Three seasons ago I got as far as turning my original £100 into £1,600 (I think that was my highest level) before falling back to £1,000. At that stage I was a long way behind the target and decided to keep the £900 profit and end the challenge.

This season I am setting a far more realistic target.............If you win 1% per day you can turn £100 into £2,500 in one season. It's obviously not going to be easy but I am quietly confident.

Tempted to try it, but with 10. I'm not a particularly clever gambler (my biggest wine came from a bet I accidentally placed) so I might just copy you.

I won't always stick the whole bank on every bet but I intend starting with the whole £100 tonight to get me a good start (or bust straight away). The biggest problem with this challenge is always the pressure of keeping up with the targets so if I can get to £117 tonight (Wales are 1.17 or 1/6ish to win tonight) it will buy me a bit of time to spot the next "sure fire" winner.

Well that didn't last very long :-(

When I saw that Palace had Gayle (who I rate highly), Puncheon, Zaha and Campbell all starting I figured they'd be good for a couple of goals............I was wrong. Even the chance of a late repreive was denied when Burnley missed a penalty. Shit happens.
