Turn in fortune

I fully expect this semi-ropey start of the season to turn now, and for us to go on a mini-run.
Our next 5 games are:

Bordeaux (A)
Norwich (H)
Carlisle (H)
Villa (H)
Sion (H)

So 4 home games there too, against 'lesser' opposition.

More than likely Sturridge will be back playing and starting during this period, Coutinho back, Lallana back etc, it's not unlikely that we win all 5 of those games.

Then we come into:

Everton (A)
Spurs (A)
Kazan (H)
Southampton (H)
Chelsea (A)

Which is a very very tough run, where the rodgers out sentiment could be back in full force.

I really hope we can win the next 5 games, have everyone fit and a few players in good form, going into that second run of 5 fixtures, because that second lot could ruin our league season completely. It'd be nice to take 6-9 points from 12 of those.

Can't see it myself. You could maybe have made a case for this after the Arsenal result, because we at least seemed to have some sort of solid foundation, but the team has reverted to last season's type. Rodgers has struggled in Europe since he's been here, and managers of 'lesser' teams last season were routinely finding him out tactically. We've got nothing to build on at the moment, and Rodgers will presumably feel that he's not got enough time to coach improvements with two games a week.
