Trent, Salah and VVD

Just wondering, would anyone get rid of a 26 year old De Bruyne for fuck all? Coz that's what we're doing.

I get the debate, he's not the best defender in the world. We've seen the missed tackle/overlap stats. Great stuff.

Have you seen every other stat? The other 769 stats that point at this person being a non-stop offensive machine of the highest order. The 2nd best in the Prem since 2018. The best in the Prem EVER for defensive players.

I don't blame the cunt for leaving, good on you Trent. Too many armchair critics. We're sat here moaning, every other club in the world would take him no questions asked. Make your way to Madrid for 500k a week, a couple of titles and a couple of Champs Leagues.

He's a club ledge here for me, fuck you lot.. The Origi goal is top 5 all time for this club. No debate. He's been a worldie via the academy.

Now we're faced with a major outlay for RB, Bradley is a good player but he's not Trent, he's not proved he's right for a top club. Plus, he's injured all the time. So, we're looking at mega bucks there.

Losing him for nothing. It's a disaster to be fair.

Wait till you hear about Mo and Virgil. But it's ok, we have made our best offer and in Hughes and absent Edwards we trust...

Can we cut the slack with Edwards and Hughes. Both have been served a shit sandwich waking in to this.

What should have been done from the very beginning when Klopp told FSG in November of 23 when he said he wanted out was to tie the trio down ASAP - they had a three month headstart before Klopp did his video in Jan announcing he was going come the end of the season. Sure, some of the players might have been pissed off with the club for bad faith but so what? The club is more important than the players.

Lad on Talksport made a great point today, he basically said he had no qualms about Trent leaving, we signed him for nothing, came through the academy and won everything with us. But then you look at Alexis Mac Allister, last year of his contract with Brighton, no major allegiance to them but didn't want them to be shafted by leaving on a free. Came to an agreement with Bloom to sign a new deal for a few extra years on the proviso of a relatively modest buyout clause, club wins, player wins if the buyout was met. Disappointed that Trent didn't do somethign similar considering he supposedly is a boyhood red, also no question without doubt he's been playing us along the whole time.

For me however the more important renewals are for VVD and Mo. Get those 2 over the line.

Doesn't the buck ultimately stop with them. At what point do we start demand results?
Not expecting insane money being spent or unrealistic signings but we needed something in Jan and I expected Slot to be supported. I don't for one believe Slot didn't want anyone then or wanted to wait a whole year to assess squad. Guess we shall find out this summer because that will determine our immediate future.

It's the equivilent of you starting a new job and your employer says, here's a shit sandwich oh by the way there's a few fires to put out but yeah crack on.

You're dammned if you do and dammned if you don't.

If the club somehow manage to tie down Mo and VVD after all of this then Hughes will get a lot of credit, as will Edwards. But let's not pin it on them if they both decide to walk, this should have been sorted under that Ibiza home-working so called DoF Big Jorg or whatwhatever his name is

I don't get a year in my new job without questions being asked on results, I don't agree with the notion it's a free ride for a year.
I the club do tie down remaining two, not sure about Hughes getting any credit. I think it will be case of doing what should have been, I think focus on Hughes and Co on whom else they will bring in the summer, seems like that is the fair way to judge their business.

What the fuck's the league table got to do with it? About £70M worth of asset is about to walk out of the door for nothing. And we're supposed to be happy because some 19 year old has had a couple of good games and will now spend the next couple of years nursing injuries.
Great.

I think Trent leaving feels different than it felt when Macca, Owen, Fowler, even Torres, Suarez, Alonso left cos it felt each time like we were getting closer or we were almost there.

This time, someone leaves having won every conceiveable trophy, hopefully another league. I don't get the sense of doom or sadness that we had before. Also, he's not our best player, and we'll miss him but he also made our team very uneven and you can build a side around him or Salah, but maybe not both

I’m pretty sure Liverpool fans criticism of him has fuck all to with him going.

It’s just gutting that a local lad who’s living his dream has decided it doesn’t mean more after all or least not when fucking Madrid of all clubs flash their eye lashes at you.

Yeah, but Real said to him, if you want to sign for Real, it needs to be on our terms.

Trent agreed immediately while gobbling Jude off at the same time.

FWIW that constitutes as tapping up.

Great.
It’s the reason why we exist. To win things and make the people happy.

People are whining about a footballer who mentally checked out ages ago. Go and watch that Man U game and watch him. See if you want someone who plays like that when trophies are on the line and at home to our worst enemy.

Don’t get too fussed about the others either. They are going to leave at some point. All stories point to them wanting to staying for now unlike Judus.

We’ve taken advantage of free signings and also below market purchases like Mac. It’s football.

Having a good old whine about all this is like planning for your funeral on your wedding day. Cue loads of jokes about it being the same thing.

Enjoy the moment.

Id let Bradley lift the trophy this year before him. But I'm a petty vindictive cunt

Fuck it, let Ramsey lift it ahead of him.

Back of the queue for you, you pregnancy loving, defending average, being gaped by Jude fucking charlatan.

A PLAGUE ON THE ALEXANDER AND ARMSTRONG HOUSES

I wouldn’t go that far.

There’s very few players I don’t wish a huge downfall when they leave us. I follow pretty much all the squad on Instagram. Once they leave I jib them off. Then wish them career ending injuries and a lifetime of misery. Milner is one of the exceptions.

No it's not, JR - It's not even close.

Plus we're not 'getting rid'... He's choosing to leave us, for nothing, because those bastards told him to do. Not the club's fault that he's being led by the nose by Madrid and his bff over there.
