He should find himself on the bench regardless, he’s utterly useless when he’s not finding the mark with his pinging it about football. It would depend on which selection helped us win that game. Which would likely be Trent, as he's miles better than Bradley.

I'm not sure that he feels we won't be successful. Sometimes it's just that you've been at place X long enough and just want to go to experience something new. Speaking from personal experience here 😉
Not so sure about that. Plenty of our players can ping it around from the back but for game changing moments you've got to look at both ends of the pitch - defence and attack - and Bradders had proven he can do that. Hence why a better fit than Gomez for most games.
However a new stronger FB in the Summer could provide more of those moments in both areas of the pitch.

It's a strange one, I'd love to wish him the best. He has done it all for us and has had periods of being the best in the world.
But he's always had a bit of the Owen's about him, never really used that local lad status to cement the connection with the fans*. His attitude (or style) seems to have changed and he looks like he hasn't really cared too much about the team and just himself for a few years now.
He'll be hard to replace, but I'd rather have a team player than someone who thinks they are the big man.
*I'm not a regular match goer or Scouser so that's a perception from afar.

It's a bit mad that Trent will be the first person to do this when we're top of the league in England and Europe, going to a side where he won't get anywhere near the love and will get a hard time if he doesn't perform from day one.
At least with Owen and Macca they could say they were off to win trophies. There's nowhere better to currently be part of a first team squad than LFC. Most big name players in Europe will want to be a part of this, but a local lad doesn't.

Depends. Might not be anywhere better than us, But we got a crucial rebuild about to happen. Maybe He hasn't got the stones to be the captain during that spell
Every chance they might be willing, as they're in a title race without a good RB. Also depends if they want to keep relations decent with us for future negotiations.
I don't know why Trent wants to leave - it does not make sense, he may think he building a better legacy etc for his future, but Real Madrid play is such a limited league where they are always favourites to win the CL/LL and with a history of buying world super-stars his name will get lost amongst many others. The funny thing is - RM news reports say that they will only sign him on a free - which I think kind of gives an indication of how they would not go out of their way to pay for him. That said if he were to leave I see opportunities for us in replacing him to create a more balanced right side from a defensive point of view, I still think he is at fault for the Fulham and Newcastle goals this season that led to the equalizers. If he was on the market at an affordable price for us - I don't think we would even bother to go for him, the spamming passes where 1 in 20 may lead to a goal needs to be measured against goals conceded on his side.
