Rumours that Origi is having an MRI scan on a groin injury in Lille today. Looks like he he's on his way to us.

We will do very little activity. I'd even be surprised if Origi comes back. Plus I'd be against that. Extremely unfair to pin our hopes on him.

Kramaric to sign for Leicester City today

Bordeaux president says that Yaya Sanogo will join the club on loan by Wednesday.

Roma close to signing Cech according to the Italian media.
If true, we should be all over that!

Agreed. When the idea first surfaced, a number of posters said he wasn't good enough for us. I couldn't see it that way at all, and it would be interesting to know whether that's still their view.

Bony is a bit lazy this season from what I've seen of him, not sure he'd be much more of a fit than balotelli is currently, and 30mill is waaaaay over the odds for him, 20 was a stretch.

Had we offered the Balotelli money for Lacazette before the season started, Lyon would surley have sold him.
Shame.

I still don't think Bony would suit our style of play. He's not mobile enough.

This was my argument at the time, and I still agree with it. However I was under the impression we might try and sign someone decent to replace Suarez and with the benefit of hindsight....

I don't see your point. That's why they're not playing.

I think Rurik's point (with which I agree in part) is that, if we were going to go for a less mobile striker anyway, we might as well have gone for Bony and given ourselves more of a chance of getting something out of him. I'd add that he's a sight more mobile than either Balotelli or Lambert and TBH I'm no more convinced now than I was then that he wouldn't have suited us. Were he *that* static I couldn't really see Citeh being interested.

If Rodgers is intent on populating the squad with mobile attackers who can play through the middle or on the wings, then we should be looking again at Konoplyanka, whose contract expires in June.
