Lambert does offer a viable plan B, he's come on and scored a goal of important goals when needed. Balotelli on the other hand is not and really should go.
Eh? I didn't mention him once?
You do constantly defend Mario and your post implies Lamber is worse than Mario
How much will we end up getting for Mario? I'm going single figures... 8 million
Yeah, unless Sunderland want him!
Fuck me he came on last night to a pitch full of knackered players and looked the least mobile / most knackered player out there. And did fuck all.
Some plan B...
Because it didn't work last night doesn't mean it hasn't worked and won't work.
How much will we end up getting for Mario? I'm going single figures... 8 million
5 mill. If we're lucky.
As a plan B yes. The game against Aston Villa for example, we couldn't shut the game off, he came on and we looked better, and ultimately he scored. You're thinking of him as if hes our number two striker, he isn't, hes an option when we need to change things up.
If we're selling anyone it has to be Balotelli. We'll get more money for him, and he's offering nothing but a disruptive influence. I'm not saying Lambert is a better player, but he's a positive influence who will do all he's asked. The money we'd get for him wouldn't do much either.
Ideally we wouldn't have either, we'd have better than both.
I'm not. I don't think he's good enough to be in the squad full stop.
You're quoting the Villa game in which we scored, granted, but I don't agree we looked better with him on.
In fact I can't think of a single game this season in which he's come off the bench and transformed our play, beyond increasing our offside count and slowing our attack down / making us go unproductively more direct.
The Villa goal doesn't mitigate against his obvious limitations for me.
We're not going to sign anyone so no point getting your hopes up
…….there's Liverpool's transfer committee
Oh, Lambert IS better then Balotelli. I feel like he's got completely found out at this level. He'll shoot (badly) from anywhere so give him time on the ball outside the box. And bully him in the box because he doesn't fancy the fight.
The Metro reports that La Liga giants Real Madrid are readying a shock move for Spurs' sweetheart Harry Kane. Karim Benzema could be the fall guy to help Carlo Ancelotti's club pull together the funds necessary to bring Kane, who is in contract talks with Tottenham, to the Bernabeu.
