I think he's one of those players who you have to watch more regularly than I do to fully appreciate what he brings to a team. Some Ipswich fans compare him to Michael Carrick. I've seen Ipswich 6 or 7 times this season and he's played in about 4 of those games and been efficient without ever really starring.

What about Tyrone Mings, although we have moreneo, this kid meant to be a star

Haha, I knew this would be the next question and was going to tag a similar comment on about Mings. I honestly don't know is the answer I've seen him a few times and he looks good but not worth the type of money they're talking about. He has bulked up a lot from last season and is a lot more physical. He's very quick and likes a tackle BUT at 6'5" I think he might struggle to play left back in the top division.

I've seen quite a bit of Ipswich this season and haven't enjoyed a minute of it. I've always had a soft spot for them but their style this season is very pragmatic and they get the ball up to the front asap. They play in a similar vein to Rep of Ireland under Jack Charlton and as such it's quite difficult to assess individual performances unless you watch them week-in-week-out.

Cheers mate. I saw some Ipswich "legend" was comparing him to Ray Wilkins or something.
Talk of 10 mill £ with every top club in the PL interested.

Liverpool FC Transfer Gossip: Rodgers' £40m Benzema bid, Ipswich's Teddy Bishop in £10m Anfield switch, Reus link, Origi latest

Liverpool FC transfer gossip today sees Brendan Rodgers handed a boost in the pursuit of Karim Benzema as Real Madrid are reportedly willing to sell him for £40 million in the summer.
Real will then reportedly use the cash to swoop for Edinson Cavani. Cavani, 27, wants to leave Paris St-Germain after a falling out with Laurent Blanc.
France frontman Benzema is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League after becoming frustrated with Real boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Liverpool are desperate to strengthen their misfiring strikeforce after acknowledging £16m signing Mario Balotelli isn't up to scratch.
Liverpool have reportedly pulled out of a deal to bring striker Divock Origi to Anfield early.
Liverpool paid £10m to sign the 19-year-old Belgium forward in the summer before loaning him back to Lille under terms of the deal and had been in discussions about him coming to the club in January.
The Reds were open to paying a premium to land Origi and, despite Lille's initial reluctance, Anfield chiefs were still hopeful of striking a deal.
But now they have called off a move with Rodgers content to go with what he's got.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are in pole position to land Ipswich starlet Teddy Bishop.
Midfielder Bishop, 18, is on the radar of the Premier League's big guns after breaking into the Ipswich side this season.
And Liverpool boss Rodgers is determined to win the race for the £10m-rated teen.

With a name like this, he's bound to be either an absolute superstar or utter laughingstock.

If we sign him, we should invite the Archbishop of Canterbury to the press conference to perform his little-known gangsta rap hit: "Smack ma Bishop".

AC Milan have reportedly enquired about taking Liverpool striker Fabio Borini on loan for the rest of the season.

The Rossoneri are said to be looking for attacking reinforcements following Fernando Torres’ move to Atletico Madrid, as well as Giampaolo Pazzini’s immanent departure from the club.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Milan have asked Liverpool about Borini’s availability given the player seems to be very much out of favour at Anfield.

Borini has made 10 Premier League appearances this season for Liverpool, though only three were as a starter.

Shove ya loan bollocks.
16 pages of this shit and we still haven't signed anyone. Painful.

Matt Ryan's agent has revealed his buyout clause is only $5M (roughly 2.5M-3M GBP).

Ryan only just signed a new 3 year contract with Brugge.

I'm quite surprised that the buyout clause is low as that given the impact he has made for them.

This will certainly result in more top clubs looking at him now.

If it is £3m we should be all over that. Someone to increase the competition on Mignolet and eventually replace him

Maybe we heard about the clause and thought that the £3 million to bring Origi early would be better spent on getting in Mat Ryan?

(personally I doubt it by the way)

[article=http://www.football-italia.net/61470/parma-asked-balotelli]It’s reported that Serie A strugglers Parma asked for Mario Balotelli, but were turned down by the player.

The Ducali are bottom of Serie A with just nine points from their opening 19 games, and are 18 points from Chievo in 17th place.

Balotelli has struggled since moving to Liverpool from Milan, failing to score a single goal in the English Premier League and has been linked with a return to Serie A.

According to Sky, Parma made a sensational attempt to bring the 24-year-old on loan until June, but Balotelli rejected the proposal out of hand.

The news outlet believes a similar offer for Giampaolo Pazzini was also rebuffed.[/article]
