Transfer Rumours

Ilori is set to be allowed to leave Anfield on-loan and The Mirror report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will move for the Portuguese centre-back should he fail to land Manchester United's Michael Keane.

Solskjaer is in the market for a centre-back after selling Steven Caulker this summer. He said: “We have been having a lot of conversations with managers at big clubs about players they do not think are going to be in their squad this season, and could be interested in sending them out on loan.

“We cannot confirm or deny until we sign someone. There has been loads said about players from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea coming here on loan, but there is no one yet. “I need one extra but I am not doing it just to have numbers, it must be the right player.”

Cardiff and Solskjaer can go fuck off. I'd rather send him to Brighton for Hyypia to tutor.

Sounds very risky, poor guy though those are tough injuries. This window may turn into a few weeks of us being linked to anyone who has ever kicked a ball into a net more than 10 times in the last few years.

Very risky but he's a quality player. I'd love him at the club.

Jose Mourinho believes the squad he has assembled at Chelsea is capable of competing at the top for the next decade. He has also sought to play down links to Roma defender Mehdi Benatia and discussed the future of winger Victor Moses.
Victor’s best position is on the wings where we have many solutions. We have (Eden) Hazard, Willian, Salah and Schurrle but he (Moses) is English and at this moment we have one foreign player who has to leave.

Born in Nigeria, tragically orphaned and then moved to the UK under asylum at the age of 10 or something like that.

Oh wow - didn't know that about Vic. Will be interesting to see how many chances he gets at Chelsea, before he came to us he seems to have a better work rate and have a greater impact there.

True, but they only really played him in the Europa League, a competition they didn't really give a toss about before reaching the final.

He'll get fuck all chances there, which cheers me up on a daily basis. Fucking hate Moses.

Manchester United have been chasing Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo for some time, but they may have to dig a little deeper if a deal is to be done. Sporting have revealed that they have cancelled their contract with the company that owned 75 per cent of Rojo's rights, meaning they will now receive 100 per cent of any fee and can stand firm as they wait for a suitable offer to be table.

You may have read in our gossip round-up from around the back pages that Liverpool are keen on Giuseppe Rossi.
Well, it's the first his agent Andrea Pastorello has heard of it.
“There is nothing between Rossi and Liverpool,” he said.
“There is absolutely nothing to comment on. Honestly, I don’t know anything about this.
“I’m not aware of any offer. This is something that has come from England and nowhere else.”
We await to see if there's anything more in that one.

I don't see a problem with Jones as backup, a strange one that if true. Probably good for Coates though if he becomes a regular.

@Frogfish those odds are all about what they were at the weekend. Anything that's got positive odds is most likely a punt by the bookies or bollocks, we're 2/1 on Walcott and 6/4 or Richards, which are obviously bullshit. When they move to odds-on there's usually something in it. The scum have been sitting at 1/10 on Vidal for over a week now which is worrying.

Javi Martinez torn ACL, maybe we can send them Agger?

And he would reunite with his pal Reina. Not a bad idea. Bayern's CB line is actually pretty mediocre, Agger would improve them.

And Guardiola tried to sign Agger for Barcelona, so maybe he is still a fan.

Liverpool have got the green light to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi after he turned down a new contract at Paris Saint Germain - and was told to leave. Lavezzi has struggled to cement a regular slot in the PSG team since his arrival from Napoli, but amid growing speculation over his future, the French giants offered him a new contract this week.

But Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio says that Lavezzi's agent Alejandro Mazzoni turned it down during a meeting in Paris and now an angry PSG are ready to offload him, with Liverpool in pole position.

The Reds have already made a £17.9million offer for the player and now look set to conclude a deal with PSG keen for him to go. Juventus and Inter Milan have also been linked with Lavezzi but it's claimed that both clubs only want a loan deal, while PSG want a permanent cash offer, like Liverpool are proposing.

A much better option than E'to. So maybe we'll get both Bony and Lavezzi

The only reason Lavezzi would seem like a good buy is because we're worried we won't sign anyone else. We need someone who scores goals and wins games, that's not Lavezzi.
