Transfer Rumours

More on Rojo - apparently he's been suspended, along with a team mate, for submitting a transfer request. Sporting's boss taking a tough stand (well, at least until the price rises further I guess)
Supposedly he was suspended for not turning up to training and refusing to play. Not for submitting the transfer request.

Increasingly starting to sound like Reus could be on the move.

I'll be extremely excited if it's L4 and absolutely distraught if it's OT or anywhere else in England. In fact maybe I'd prefer not to hear such rumours at all and just let him stay where he is !

If we were by some miracle to get him then it would instantly transform our attack and elevate us to Title contenders.

Correct.

Arsenal are heavily linked with him. Can't see him going to Man Utd. They already have about 28 attacking players while having three midfielders and one defender. Van Gaal won't buy another attacker.

Come on, Marco!

hahaha.... awkward

West Ham's new signing Diego Poyet might have a bit of a difficult time fitting in at his new club! This picture was released showing tweets the Spanish midfielder had said mocking his new team mates! Diego makes his feelings clear towards one team mate in specific. I wonder if Andy has seen these tweets?

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has told Sport Bild the club remains "calm" over contract negotiations with Marco Reus but said: "It's his decision alone."

Starting to sound like they may be forced to sell him so he doesn't go to a direct rival next summer, for a lower price. They'd easily get more this summer than what the release clause is set for next summer, and have more jurisdiction over where he goes.

These quotes are a bit ominous for Dortmund though, or the translator is terrible.

They'd want to keep him out of Bayern's hands (and would lose control of that should the trigger clause come into play).

I think they'll sell this summer - we've got to give it all we can at a likely price of 30m or so.

I could see them trying to get him onto a new contract, but if it doesn't happen in a week or so, they'll sell I feel.

Didn't they just make him vice captain? He's coming here anyway, I've been saying it all summer, my sources have told me as much.

Are Napoli really that skint? Or are they trying to use loans to comply with FFP requirements? They seem to be forever linked with lowball loan-with-purchase-option deals this season. How long more before Benitez falls out with ownership / management about the lack of funds or support he's receiving?

Napoli are in talks with Villareal for De Guzman

di Enrico Passarella

Napoli are working to give Benitez a new reinforcement in the midfield, it could be Jonathan De Guzman. They already met the agent, the developments after the summit were positive. Napoli are trying to push, they are convinced that De Guzman could be the right profile. Now they have to convince Villareal to loan him to them (with option to buy), they are making an attempt. It won’t be easy, because the Spanish team is resisting: QPR are ready to close to the deal on a permanent transfer, but Napoli are putting pressure on them. The negotiation between the clubs have officially started, they are parties are in touch. De Guzman is Napoli’s target for the midfield.

....and what a shitty excuse. "I was 16", it's not like it was 10 years ago he was 16 he's fucking 19 now.
Sterling is still having babies with random people and he's 19.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been given the go ahead to push on with efforts to land a fresh striking addition and will turn his attentions to Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi.
The Anfield boss has been keeping tabs on the United States born Italian international for some weeks and is ready to launch an €25m (£20m) bid for the 27 year old hot-shot.
Rossi moved to Florence last summer and has proven a phenomenal success, scoring 16 goals in 21 Serie A appearances, but the club’s failure to secure a Champions League berth could lead them to losing a number of their top talents.

Haven't seen him play in ages but he was a good player when his knees worked.

Yeah his injuries have been terrible the last 2 seasons, though it wasn't a couple of long injuries back-to-back, with no playing time in-between. He did his ACL soon after moving to Fiorentina, returned from it, and was the Serie A's leading scorer last season (the stats quoted above) - until he did his ACL again (or got some other knee ligament injury). Then he returned for the final 3 games of the season, and scored in 2 of those 3 games. Wasn't picked for Italy and was miffed (can't blame the manager there, surely).

This is the sort of risky move that could be considered if the price was right. As a backup to Sturridge, he should be getting a bit more rest and not needed to play full games back-to-back. I don't think he'll be cheap though, so this will more likely end up as an unviable option.

Sounds very risky, poor guy though those are tough injuries. This window may turn into a few weeks of us being linked to anyone who has ever kicked a ball into a net more than 10 times in the last few years.

Ilori is set to be allowed to leave Anfield on-loan and The Mirror report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will move for the Portuguese centre-back should he fail to land Manchester United's Michael Keane.

Solskjaer is in the market for a centre-back after selling Steven Caulker this summer. He said: “We have been having a lot of conversations with managers at big clubs about players they do not think are going to be in their squad this season, and could be interested in sending them out on loan.

“We cannot confirm or deny until we sign someone. There has been loads said about players from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea coming here on loan, but there is no one yet. “I need one extra but I am not doing it just to have numbers, it must be the right player.”

Optimistically Gary Neville says : "United need 3 more signings"
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville says his old club are three players short of really challenging for the Premier League title.

Hull City are reportedly preparing a move for England internationalDanny Welbeck and have asked Manchester United about the striker's availability, according to the Mail. Welbeck's role under Louis van Gaal has yet to be determined although the forward may need convincing a move to East Yorkshire is right for him.

Insanity rules. We should be all over this if there is even an iota of truth and an outside chance.
___________

We start with a couple of lines from the Daily Mail who report that Atletico Madrid have opened talks with Chelsea over a move for German international Andre Schurrle although it is understood Jose Mourinho is in no hurry to part with the versatile forward.

The Reds boss admits securing the services of another striker is “crucial” to provide cover for Daniel Sturridge and Rickie Lambert. Fabio Borini remains a Liverpool player but the Italian will still be allowed to leave if he accepts the chance to join Sunderland for £14m.

The Reds have not made a contract offer to Samuel Eto’o. The 33-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Chelsea, has been considered as a stop-gap prior to Origi’s arrival at Anfield next summer.

But his age – and his wage demands – means Liverpool are currently pursuing other more attractive options. They would only look to Eto’o in the closing days of the window if their striker search has been unsuccessful.
