Huh? The posts before Gerry's comment were all about City signing Mangala. Unless there are some hidden ones.

For me the post is displayed with no quotes.
Well that's unlucky

Cuardardo is 26.

Had a good season last year at Fiorentina by all accounts so not like he's come from nowhere.

I don't understand the 30M price tag tho.

In the last few hours, Liverpool offered Coates to Sampdoria. There could be news in the next few days. (Di Marzio)

If we're selling Toure, Coates and loaning out Ilori.
Agger to stay?

He'll defo keep 4, and seeing as Illori isn't getting a sniff (injured?) you'd think that Agger might be staying. I think there would have only been Barca that would have been interested in him, Napoli wouldn't want to pay his wages as per. I'd be happy with those 4, but I suspect Agger wont be as he'd be 4th choice.

Could also be Rodgers is doing what Carra suggested in having a utility defender as the 4th CB - i.e Kelly. Could then become:

CB: Lovren, Skrtel, Sakho, Kelly
LB: Johnson, Enrique, Flanagan
RB: Flanagan, Manquillo, Kelly

While Kelly's injuries have set him back a lot and I'm not sure that he has a future here, I'm okay with him having a deep backup role such as this, from which he can then try and work his way back up the pecking order in one of the positions. He'll get some cup games, and maybe an inconsequential CL tie (if we have any).

If he doesn't like that, he can probably push for a move to a mid/lower-table Premier League club and try to restart his career there.

Isn't Lambert about 36 and E'to 40?

We will have the oldest strike partnership in the Premiership. Studge must be thinking "WTF?"

Not sure where this goes, but look at the state of this, and they're after Falco too?! It's like they're building a FIFA master league team

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more players to his squad before the transfer window closes.
The Reds have already signed seven players this summer, including Southampton trio Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren, Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen and Lazar Markovic from Benfica.
They also added defender Javier Manquillo on loan from Atletico Madrid and signed striker Divock Origi before returning him to former club Lille for the season.
Rodgers told the club's official website: "We would still like to do some business.
"Across the board, we still want to add a little bit more depth to what we have."

Liverpool have been told to pay at least £24m for Lazio starlet Keita Balde Diao.

According to reports in Italy, the Anfield club are preparing a bid for the hot-shot but the Serie A club do not intend to sell. Further reports suggest that Lazio owner and president Claudio Lotito would only consider bids north of £24m for Diao.
The 19-year-old striker joined the Serie A outfit in 2011 for a fee of £300,000, and scored five times in 23 senior appearances last season. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has already secured the services of Belgian youngster Divock Origi from Lille, but he is keen to snap up Diao.

It is thought the Anfield club have already had a bid rejected for the player who struck an incredible 47 goals in a single season during a loan spell at Spanish side UE Cornella, the same team which Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba was sent to, in the 2010-11 season.

Diao, who was born in Spain to Senegalese parents, spent seven years at Barcelona's famed academy before his temporary spell at Cornella. He rejected the chance to return to the Nou Camp and instead opted to join Lazio, despite interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid. Diao is highly rated by Lazio who see him as Miroslav Klose's successor.

[article]Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo has handed in a transfer request to Sporting Lisbon and told the Portuguese club he wants to leave for Manchester United, Sky sources understand.[/article]

I hope not, I thought he looked really good in the WC. Thing is, he's a LB and they've got Shaw? Can't see that one happening if that's the case. Unless one of them would get played out of position on the other flank. Those wankers need CB's not FB's.

Rojo plays his club football as a center back, its only really for Argentina he plays as a left back, presumably he will play as the left sided center back of the 3.
