Considering that quite a few of these played on Monday, then had to fly all the way to Turkey to play in awful conditions, and went 1 down early on, then the result is none too bad in the circumstances. Performance could have been better but winning is everything at the moment.

I only saw the second half and I thought we were OK.
Roys team sucks in the first half. I might start tuning in from half time.
I didn't realise the match started earlier so that's what I ended up doing... sounds like it was for the best.

Do what I did... go to sleep and be waken up when you here the commentator shout we've scored.
Seems Roy isn't the only Ol' Codger around these parts 😉

Give old George a minute to put his teeth back in and he'll berate you for that.

Early Season, playing at a tricky away ground in a country where we've never won without the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Agger, Skrtel, Masher (he's still not been replaced), Jovanovic and Maxi and yet we won.

Good, even though especially first half was poor.

I'm pleased.

Wow, is that right?

Also, he always lists Agger third behind Torres & Gerrard. I think KHL believes he is our third most importan player. Poulson is fouth, obv.

To be perfectly honest it's news to me as well but Keni mentioned it somewhere in the match thread, that the commentators never forgot to mention exactly that as it certainly looked like we wouldn't win yet again.

Sounds incredible actually but at least we've won once in Istanbul...

Er, what about 25th May 2005? Where did the media get this garbage from?

Thank God for that.

The colleagues are late, otherwise it would have been brutal.

you know, you might want to consider just not giving a fuck about what these knobheads say about us.

To be fair 2005 was on neutral ground and we only won after penos.

Against Turkish opposition I take it?

Yep just checked and it's our first win there (besides 2005 if that counts).

It was still a win, Kristian. Don't anyone give me this "it was a draw" hooey. The record books say different.

Cheers, well done Copenhague as well.

Went to see the first leg and it will be good to see some good football. Its been a while.
The club went into administration few years ago and its slowly recovering.

First half hour was dreadful. But for the last hour I thought we bossed the game and could/should have had 3 or 4 goals. Cant remember too much danger from the Turks in the whole second half to be honest.

I thought Kelly had a very good game after a shaky start. He is probably our best left back. Poulson is a lazy looking player but he can pick out a (forward) pass, and there are still doubts about his match fitness. Johnson was good going forward and could have caused more damage but for Dirks poor passing. Lucas is shit.

All in al,l although we were very critical throughout, I think it was a good win, and one that, to be honest, I wasnt confident of after seeing the teamsheet.

Joe Cole may be having the worst start to a Liverpool career of any player ever.

We really need someone creative in the middle of the park to get us moving the ball forward quickly.

Shame we sent him to Turin on loan.
*High Five*
Hah, them fucking divets in the pitch would have put him out for 6 months..
