He deserves more time. If we're still having the same discussions in a years time, then something will have to be done. It's still to early, in my opinion, to be writing him off.

Quite, I agree, he deserves more time. I just don't enjoy the way we've played at all this season. Initially it was great! But as time wore on, it's increasingly obvious for all our huff and puff, no one gambles with a run into the box and we won't score.

I think we need to be out of everything before we'll see the shackles taken off.

It's not as bad as some are making out. We're one game away from a final, and still in the FA Cup, a point from European football and 6 off Champions league(which we haven't been in for a few years). We've had a lot of great performances and only a handful of ones where we haven't deserved to win. We have one of our best players out for the season and another serving a long ban(that said, we should be able to handle these things). Our defence has also been excellent for the most part, and without wanting to bring out a cliche, that's what all great teams are built on. Our team is also quite young, with only Bellamy and Gerrard from the first team that are coming near the end of their careers.

The most disappointing thing for me is Andy Carroll(mainly how much we paid for what we got back).

annoying that had we beating the team with the worst home record in the league we'd only be 3 points off the top 4

Yes, but results like that will always happen. You can always say if only we'd gotten three points against X. I'm sure United fans are saying the same.

I'm not saying they are excusable, but shit results are going to happen, lets just hope we bounce back after it.

Well said Gerry. Voice of reason.

Liverpool's defeat at Bolton was the perfect demonstration of the need for discipline deep in midfield. With Steven Gerrard and Charlie Adam chosen in the centre of 4-4-2, Liverpool conceded their first when Mark Davies strode through the middle unmarked, then Nigel Reo-Coker repeated the trick for the second.

It is obvious that Liverpool are missing Lucas Leiva, but for now the question is whether Gerrard and Adam can play together in the centre. They do not have an understanding yet – from the four league games they have started in the same side, Liverpool have three draws and a defeat.
