Tottenham or Chelsea?

So happy its Chelsea, not that we are defintely going to win but I firmly believed that Spurs would beat us due to our inability to deal with pacey players and watching them players today was quite scary. Chelsea will be better suited for our players to deal with even though its going to be a huge order to beat them.

"Huge order", i wouldn't go that far. They're a good team with loads of experience but this current Chelsea side is very beatable

And they might yet have one eye on the CL final, which for the manager would be the difference between job and no job.

It is a 'Huge Order' as I put it because I want you to consider what our chances of beating that same team if say Jose was still in charge ? - the fact of the matter is that when we played them this season, they were out of sorts with AVB but now they seem more with it and are playing to their strengths. This is a different Chelsea to the one we faced earlier this season.

Well, we did alright against Chelsea even when Mourinho was there and the likes of Cech, Terry, Essien, Lampard, Drogba etc were in their prime - that's not the case now.

They're still very capable of moments of magic as we saw today with great individual goals from Lampard and Drogba, but on the whole, they're not the players they were a few years ago so that can only be good news for us.

Yeah - we did beat them on 3 occasions I think, drew quite a bit when Jose was in chargeof them. But every meeting gave all of us a lot of stress. They were never easy were they ? - and to this day I still feel very nervous when facing them. We better play Maxi in the games we got left against them.

That's true, but as said during the game yesterday, they've got plenty of experience to draw on, and they've had the bigger games to deal with this season going as far as they have in the CL, which will stand them in good stead regards preparation.

I'd still have taken Chelsea over Spurs though, I still think there's more of an industrious side to Chelsea which we often know how to counter, whereas catch Spurs when they're having a good day and they can be rampant.

The main worry for me is Torres, I know he's flattered to deceive so far but he's now getting into good form and it's all there for him to turn it on against us.

for me the danger men are ramires and mata, great movement that has to be tracked.
I know jordan has been the invisible man but I would definately play a central midfield of spearing and henderson to track their play makers. other than that it will will be up to our fullbacks to push back their fullback. lastly the CB have got to be skrtel and agger, we got away with carra v everton but I think the pace of chelsea's forward line would eat carra up also we can push high up the pitch and push drogba way from our goal so he can't do to us what he did to spurs.

christ almighty ! ..... seems like an eternity ago that we'd the likes of mascherano and some thought that Alonso wasn't even good enough for us !

got to deal with what we have. funny you mention mash though, I'd trust lucas more to track mata than I'd trust mash to track mata.

possibly but mascherano didn't destroy Kaka in a champions league final once upon a time ?
