Best signing since Barnes?

I think he is. I no its early days but I cannot see anything but goals and lots of them for him unless he breaks a leg.

WE have had some gems.

Hyppia and Hamann to name two but I think Torres is that good.

Or is my love for the man going to far to soon?
 
Give him another season and see if he keeps it up.

If he does, then we can start talking.

Valid point, but I was thinking along these lines too last night. I can't remember when a new signing made this sort of impact and just 'worked' so well from the off. It probably was Digger.
 
Yeah, it's too early to be putting him ahead of the likes of Hyypia. He needs another two seasons at this level to come close to what Hyypia has done over the past decade.

For sure, but he can do it. For such a young player, he has a big game mentality and all the attributes to be at the very top.

But seriously he is one of the most exciting players to come to this league for years, and it is frightening how well balanced his game is and how he just scores from anywhere and creates so much for us.

I am sooooo fucking made up he chose us!

He still could this year if we win the CL with him starring and Spain win the Euros.

It's possible.

Obviously there are the likes of Hyypia, and arguably his realtive obscurity and cost puts him head and shoulders ahead of everyone, but Torres's impact has been seismic.

You could also look at Hamann, Reina, Beardsley, Aldo, but even Beardo and Hamann took 2-3 months to really settle, at least. Torres has been on fire from Day One.

Is he F*Ck. If we beat utd in the final lead by a Torres double and Spain go on to win the Euros with Torres the top scorer he'd get it for sure.

Ronaldo is fav at the moment yes but nailed on? Hardly its April.

As good as Torres has been it's hard to imagine any judges being so fickle as to miss Ronaldo
