Fullback or even winger would make more sense.

I think he'd be eased into the first team as a rightback, effectively taking over Wisdom's place in the squad, with the latter going on loan. Wisdom is no slouch and quite pacy in his own right, but Ilori's pace is something else and that automatically makes him more of an offensive threat.

He does speak very well as does Sakho, which is great to hear especially when you compare them to Shelvey, Cole, Carroll, Adam, etc. We're not only buying fantastic players ability-wise but intelligent, mature ones at that.

Refreshingly, he just didn't seem eager to do the usual LFCTV 'Yes, this is the greatest club in the world and I've supported it all my life' crap. He smiled when he talked about how keen he is to play.
