'We've got no money. Best of luck'.
 
I don't anticipate that Roy will be saying anything too controversial. He will say how delighted he is to take over the reins at such a great club etc. but as to his plans, he will say things like "he is reviewing the situation." 🙂

I'm just glad that we're going to finally find out who's staying/going + get cracking with our preparations for next season.

Yeah, that's largely how I feel. His CV is pretty uninspiring for a club of our size, but I will not underestimate what he achieved at Fulham. It is possible an old dog has learnt new tricks and we might just get the benefit from that. He won manager of the year this season by the biggest ever margin and really should have won it the year before, too.

I hope and pray the Hodgson proves himself here, because that's the task facing him right now.

You know, Roy could actually be a manager that the players want to play for. Not that they should need any motivation of course. But that in itself could improve us greatly.

He's got a good reputation amongst his former players it seems so I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed you are right.

Reading some of the new threads today (midfield conundrum/Jovanovic signing etc) it's good to see some optimism on the site.

As someone else said, at least Hodgson might address some of Rafa's blind spots.

Ok, so a 50/50 record. better than Rafa's record for the first few years I guess. yes it was Fulham, but not too bad.

As for your comments, it's just some of think we still have enough to offer a bigger manager like Pellegrini, Kenny et al an opportunity. Not all of us think the position we're in will last beyond this coming season, *if* we had the right manager. It's pretty underwhelming to someone who's supported the club for 35 years. But hey, I hope he shocks us all with a league title, and I'll change my first name to Nobhead for two months if he does.

I really wonder if Capello's english is good enough to communicate properly. Language is a really big deal as far as I'm concerned.
