The Torres Bet

Not that it was ever in doubt, because torres has barely put in a good performance.

Wonderful if Ba is gonna score more for chelsea this season than torres.

7 league goals this season.
27 goals in his 113 games long Chelsea career.

Not that I care, but you'd Imagine he'd swap the thropies for the Anfield love if he could go back and change his decision.
According to Sturridge no one talks to him in the dressing room (I'm guessing apart from the Spanish players), and the player power Terry etc have are poisnous to the core.

Ah well cuntface. Your loss.

I honestly don't rate Torres as a cnut. He made a desperately bad decision about his career which ruined the whole thing for him. Regardless of the fact that ours was the club he left behind, I can't help but be sorry for him after this much time has passed. Had we used the fee more wisely we could have turned the whole business into a springboard for better things. It's actually not Torres' fault that we didn't do so.

It's not so much the decision itself, but all that rubbish he spouted or was linked with. "Don't blame me; promises were broken - I can't speak about them now", "Liverpool wrecked my knees but kept quiet about it", blah blah rubbish. Then he finds excuses for himself at Chelsea, about how his team mates play too slowly, etc.

Players move on, I accept that.

Fair points, and I can't disagree about those garbage statements, but I never took them at face value TBH. What they said to me was: "This guy's just made the mistake of his life, knows it and is trying - and failing - to convince himself otherwise".

When did Sturridge say that?

Said it in a recent interview. Talked about the huge difference between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Carra and Stevie organized nights out so that the players cold get to know each other.
At Chelsea that was non excistent and the Terry player power was very dominant in the group.

Cheers. Don't break your neck if you can't find it. I just had a quick search and couldn't find it.

Feel sorry for the cunt.

I'd rather give Carroll away for nothing.

I've not seen a glimmer of ability from torres in 2 years.

I hobestly think he's now at the stage of being as good as crouch was for us.

The question is ... is his time with us the 'real Torres' or his time with Atleti or Chelsea? Go on Keni ... pull up the stats! 😉

They're all part of the real Torres. Nobody did it for him when he was in a Liverpool shirt making defences cack themselves, and nobody's making him play like a puppet with its strings cut now. At his best he was a tremendously good striker, but he's mentally weak - he took Chelsea's shilling when he shouldn't have, and now can't cope with the consequences.

Abramovich will have him rendered down into glue to then sell to the plastic flag factory.

at first i thought he was unlucky, working hard, running around and missing chances, but there seems to be something else going on.

What's going on is that he made the mistake of his life leaving a club (a) where he was idolised and (b) where the style was tailored specifically for him, to go to a plastic freak show where none of that applies, and it's destroyed his form and confidence. Even when we played them a few days after his move, he already looked depressed sitting in the stands. "What the F'CK have I done?" was written all over him.
