The Reus delusion

In Bayern's case that's temporary.
Is it? Bayern have always been, and always will be, a huge club. I think we'll need a few seasons in the champions league, and probably need to win our own league before we're level with them again.

Not disagreeing at all that Bayern are a big club and ahead of us at the moment. What I'm saying is that I have confidence we can get back on level terms with them - even now they haven't won Bigears as many times as we have, for example. Real are another matter - we've always had the Indian sign on them when we've played them, but I don't think anybody's ever going to match their overall record.

Probably not. However whether you consider all of their wins to be of equal value is something else considering not all countries were participating for the first few years. When Real won the first 5 on the trot.

For me, probably controversially to some, Milan are more worthy of the Top Dog slot having a win in every decade bar the 70's. Real even went 34 years without a title at one time and have now bought themselves to prominence again with the collusion of the government.

Germany’s biggest newspaper Bild have a broken a potentially huge story overnight on Monday, announcing that Marco Reus has rejected a Borussia Dortmund contract extension.
According to Bild, contract talks between the player and club and Dortmund collapsed in May, and the 25-year-old German forward is now able to leave Jurgen Klopp’s outfit for €35m from 2015, as per his release-clause.
Reus, who is under contract at the Westfalenstadion until 2017, is on the radar of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Barcelona.
Bild have now dubbed Reus as Mario Gotze II, in that the German starlet appears to be determined to leave BVB according to the terms of his get-out clause. This news comes just days after Klopp announced:
Marco [Reus] and Mats [Hummels] will be playing for us next season. I can assure everybody that there is no sign at all that either of them want to leave.
Dortmund also announced on Monday that they are looking to sell 5% equity in their football club in order to attempt to close the financial gap on Bayern Munich.
Aside from Man United, Barcelona and Bayern, we can now expect a long throng of club to line up in an effort to sign Reus as soon as he becomes available.

I'm not sure that makes much difference to Dortmund as far as a willingness to sell now goes. The buyout clause is €35m from January, I'd expect Reus to sign a pre-contract agreement with Barca or Bayern and Dortmund to hang on to him (as they have shown they are happy to do) until then. How much more could they get selling him now (and that's if he would agree to go, he only has to hang on for 6 months to hit a bumper payday and still move to a club in time to help them challenge on most fronts) maybe €50m ? For the extra £11-12m I'd expect them to say no.

Didn't you say your 4 brothers are all Manure fans? I reckon it's rubbed off on you.

Do you all have your period at the same time too?

Because they're the bigger team. With or without CL football. After losing Suarez, they've got the better team as well.

Barca no longer want Reus as they have suarez. But yeah we've ZERO chance of getting Reus but nothing wrong with dreaming, so don't be ruining Mystic's dreams.

Whilst their a bigger club (we're hardly small), whether their team is better than ours is very debatable, and they also have no champions league football. To same we have no chance in hell of competing with them is just bullshit, we very much have the upper hand, and they'd have to counteract that fact with money.

Well this is a revelation, I feel quite sorry for all of the stick I've given Modo over the years. I didn't realise he was brought up in such harrowing conditions.

let me repeat once again, Reus is going nowhere this window...his clause will be removed, exactly similar to the way they removed Hummel's clause. So calma ans shut your shop there

What does preparing a bid mean and how long does it take?

"Preparing a bid" is the diplomatic way of saying "tapping up"....."we're preparing a bid {and if our target is receptive to our tapping up} we'll make an official bid.

I still have flashbacks of watching that FA cup final when Cantona scored at my mates house. It was a united stronghold, his dad screamed in my face when they scored... I was 12.

I can't even imagine dealing with that shit regularly
