Is anyone worried that with all these so-called possible departures from their club they will need to fill up those redundant posts and I can see a bid coming in for Suarez. I mean he fits the bill for that league does he not ? - uses the 'N' word and all, he would fit right in.
Id take Di Maria, Higuain, Kedhira, Benzema, Ozil, Varane, Callejon......basically any of them.
Im pretty sure Barca will be losing Villa, Sanchez, Pedro too. There is some deals to be done for sure.
Wether we can afford them or not is another thing altogether.
I do hope we shop at the top table this summer, our squad is really sound and just needs a bit of class adding to it.
Two players of the calibre mentioned above would have us challenging again next year.
I still cant get over how much our recruitment has improved this last 18 months.
Allen, Coutinho, Borini, Sturridge......light years ahead of the dross we signed since 2009.

Coutinho - Good

Borini, Shelvey, Suso, Sterling, Coates, Wisdom, Assaidi etc capable and all one year more experienced next year.
Downing, Carroll, Skrtel im unsure if we'll keep.
Spearing and a couple of yoots too.
But we have the bare bones of a team who have started playing some great stuff this season. Scored loads more than last season and the season before, Lost 5 less games, Conceeded less, amassed more points, finished higher. Its an upward trend albeit small steps. We need to add a bit of Suarez/Coutinho level class to that front 4 and a bit of grit to the heart of midfield and defence.
I really REALLY hope we dont rip it up and start again. I really hope this team starts next year one year more familiar one year more wise one year more knowledgable.

I think I'm going to wait and see what Rodgers does to our defence before building up any optimism. I'd feel a lot more confident with a dominating central midfielder and a decent replacement for Carra. With Carra, Reina, Coates, Skittles and Magic all rumoured to be leaving, it's going to be very hard to start the season with a decent defence, even if all the signings are good (and they never are).

Would Pepe be a realistic (loan) option, seeing that he's been ousted out by Varane and recently fall out with Mourinho (over Casillas comment)?
