Agger does not want to join City so fingers crossed that will not happen and he will stay..

Tello is a loan target..

Sahin is also a target, it will be a straight fight with Arsenal.

Demsey is on going with Adam used as a makeweight, could drag on..

Allen will sign (i personally think he will be a great player.)

Carroll has gone quiet and could possibly be subject of a last minute bid from Newcastle..

Walcott is a target..

Hope this helps...

Cheers

GOD, PLEASE!

Why is everyone baiting hmmm?

He is always getting loads of shit but I must have missed his wrongdoings.

Because of the point I was making in that Skully thread in GC; he's prepared to point out that we're fucking shit at a lot of stuff, and to continually re-emphasise it. It's like I mentioned to you in that thread yesterday - there's stuff some fans just don't want to hear.

and hear. and hear. and hear. and hear. and hear.

Bullshit. But hey. Tell you what, if it's really that bad and you think we're all a bunch of draconian pricks who really could care less about different opinions (that's never been the issue - just check the Suarez thread for example), start your own site and pull those who think it's bad. I would even sign up and browse as a sign of support.

Yes, but that's the illogical point of being a fan, you don't want to see the bad bits and you blot out some of the shite and you always think things will turn out OK, you shouldn't be able to help that, it's embedded in the psyche.
Why the fuck do you think anyone would be supporting Scunthorpe, Rochdale, Torquay et al?
If you look at things as cynically as some on here do with the constant droning and "re-emphasising" criticism of everything at the club I don't think people really get it, I don't think it's really in the blood.
Fuck me be disappointed about certain aspects, be angry about others and vent it, but not this constant barrage, it makes me think that some people are not so much fans but just take an interest, you couldn't dish out the same shite morning noon and night about the club you are supposed to love, if you really do, it's not possible.

Crazy Liverpool Fans Bets £44k On The Reds To Win The Premier League

Is he mad or brave? Fans back Liverpool to be Champions to the tune of £44, 000.

A crazy Kopite has bet £44,000 each-way on Liverpool to win the Premier League, William Hill has revealed.
The betting company said that the gutsy wager was the biggest of the pre-season period so far and will see the punter collect up to £777,333.33 if Liverpool are crowned Champions and £205,333.33 if the Reds finish second. William Hill have slashed their odds on Liverpool from 25/1 to 16/1 as a result of the bet.
Bizarelly, the company also confirmed that a steady stream of bets have been placed on Liverpool, who finished eighth last season – 37 points behind winners Manchester City.
“The football has gone largely unnoticed while the Olympics has been going on although there has been a steady stream of bets on Liverpool winning the title, mainly from the North West,” said William Hill,
“There has not been that much movement in or out of Anfield this summer but despite this, Liverpool now constitute around 40% of all stakes that we have taken on the Premier League winner market.”

In the Times (Tony Barrett)...amongst other things says:

- LFC want Adam Johnson on loan
- This move would stop interest in Walcott of whom LFC enquired last week
- Joe Allen deal still on agenda
- Enquiry for Sahin on loan has been made
- Agger and Carroll can go if valuations met

Manchester City have been told they have to pay a club-record fee for a defender — more than £22 million — if they are to convince Liverpool to part company with Daniel Agger.
Brian Marwood, football administration officer of City, has followed up an initial attempt to convince Liverpool to sell Agger for £12 million with an indication that City would be willing to increase their bid for the defender to about £18 million. Liverpool are holding out for a fee in excess of the £22 million that City paid Everton for Joleon Lescott three years ago.
Marwood could offer a player as a makeweight in the potential deal, with Adam Johnson among the players surplus to requirements at City who could interest Brendan Rodgers, the Liverpool manager.
Michael Laudrup, the Swansea City manager, is set to hold talks with Joe Allen to establish definitively whether the 22-year-old midfielder wishes to join Liverpool.
“We will have to talk about that with the player to see what he wants so we can say something official,” Laudrup said. “Otherwise, the rumours will go on until August 31, which is not in anyone’s interest.”

Liverpool have awarded Luis Suárez a new contract that almost trebles his salary in a statement of their ambition and a signal of determination to curtail lingering interest in the Uruguay player from Juventus.
Six months of protracted negotiations came to a successful conclusion yesterday when Suárez signed a new deal that means his wages rise from £35,000 per week to closer to the £100,000 mark, making the forward one of Liverpool’s highest-paid players.
“To sign a new contract with Liverpool is unbelievable for me because I am so happy here at both the club and also in the city,” Suárez said. “That is important for me and I am very happy with my new contract.
“I am happy off the pitch because the people of Liverpool are good with me and my family. I try my best on the pitch and when you are happy off the pitch, you are happy on the pitch.”
Juventus had hoped to take advantage of any indication that Suárez was unsettled at Liverpool but by recommitting his future to Anfield the 25-year-old has increased the prospect of the Serie A champions missing out on their two main summer transfer targets, with Robin van Persie also understood to be ready to spurn their advances.
Paris Saint-Germain had also shown an interest in Suárez before their acquisition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan for £20 million. His retention, therefore, is viewed by Brendan Rodgers as a symbol of belief in the playing philosophy that the Liverpool manager is trying to engender.
“I’m delighted,” Rodgers said. “When you have the opportunity to work with world-class players it’s fantastic. There were certainly a few clubs who were interested in him but over the off-season he and I communicated well — and he’s committed himself for the long term here now.
“He’s really looking forward to playing in this way of working. As a manager and for the supporters, I’m delighted because I know how important he is for them.
“I think he’s one of the top strikers in world football. Hopefully, he was able to see our vision, in terms of what we’re trying to do.”
Another positive spin-off for Liverpool is that the retention of Suárez will help quell growing disquiet on Merseyside over the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market so far this summer. Rodgers will look to bolster a squad that has been weakened by the departures of a number of senior players and is expected to be depleted still further by the sale of others who have been made available for transfer.
Maxi Rodríguez, Fabio Aurelio, Dirk Kuyt and Alberto Aquilani have left the club since the end of last season and Craig Bellamy is on the verge of rejoining Cardiff City on a free transfer. Andy Carroll and Daniel Agger, meanwhile, will be sold if Liverpool receive their asking prices for the pair from Newcastle United and Manchester City respectively.
Agger’s circumstances, in particular, have been brought into sharper contrast by Suárez’s new deal as the Denmark player is no closer to agreeing a new contract with Liverpool, despite having entered the final two years of his present agreement, a situation that suggests his future lies away from Anfield.
Liverpool are hoping that City will not only agree to their demand for a fee of more than £22 million for Agger but that the Barclays Premier League champions will allow them to take Adam Johnson on loan next season with the wide midfield player’s wages being met by the Merseyside club as part of the proposed deal.
Should that transaction take place, then Liverpool would be unlikely to follow up their recent inquiry for Theo Walcott, the Arsenal winger. They remain hopeful of signing Joe Allen, the Swansea City midfield player, before the start of the season, though, and have also joined the race to sign Nuri Sahin on loan from Real Madrid.
Jack Butland is another potential target although Liverpool would not be willing to become embroiled in an auction for the highly rated Birmingham City goalkeeper.

would quite like butland as a backup, we havnt got anyone else to use really, fuck knows where doni is. I actually think 22mill and johnson on loan for agger is a great deal. These could be some great moves for us, if we manage to get sahin on loan and a couple of other attacking players on loan to take us into the top four the revenue will really help for the next year, should be an interesting season.

22m and Johnson permanently would be better.

The suggestion though is that City offered £18m, we want £22m so City will offer Johnson as a makeweight - Which I imagine will be something like £18m plus Johnson on loan with City paying some/all of his wages.

As for Agger's contract, I wonder whether we've offered and he's stalling or the offer isn't there? Seems a bit odd that he would get to two years left and we wouldn't have attempted to renegotiate.

We've got Gulacsi, and Butland would cost silly money. Do Not Want.

The problem in a nutshell, Ryan, plus the fact that he also takes every opportunity to trash-talk Kenny, though I can see how the latter would endear him to you.

If we're getting Johnson or anyone else as part of a deal it should be permanent, not a loan. Otherwise city Will shaft us next year when we try to buy him. 18 million plus Johnson permanently would be a good deal. Having said that id rather agger stayed

I'd insist on the cash element being a minimum of £20 mill (I'd push for more than that to begin with). For one thing, we clearly need every penny we can get to beef up the transfer budget. For another: if Johnson clicks at LFC he could be a very good signing, but it's a risky one with no guarantee that it'll pay off, and he's nowhere near a first team place at Citeh. Last but not least, I/we don't want to lose Agger anyway.

I guess Song to Barcelona is almost definite now that Iniesta is bigging him up:

Recent reports have suggested that Barca are interested in the 24-year-old Cameroon international and could make a big-money offer to the Gunners in an effort to secure his signature.

Iniesta has been an admirer of the player for some time and is pleased to see him linked with a summer switch to the Catalan club.
The Spaniard says Song, who has reportedly attracted the attention of a number of other clubs, is good enough to play for Barcelona.
"He's a prodigy," said Iniesta. "I don't know how many years he's been playing but he isn't a discovery from yesterday.

"He's a good player and I've seen in a couple of publications that he could be joining our team.

"I don't know if that would be the case but if he comes here we'll welcome him the best we can.

"If he comes here, it's because he has the ability to play here, no doubt."
