The Manager

yes I'm driven by an agenda while you are making every excuse possible to keep an inept manager. Just like you made excuses for Kenny and I don't know possibly for keeping Hodgson as well.

Please show me where I made 'excuses'. Thanks.

I reckon he's only made one big mistake since he's been here, and that's not buying a boss striker in the summer.

But it's a big enough mistake that it will probably cost him his job. It's ok being full of yourself and full of shit when you're winning. It's embarrassing when you're not.

Yep. It was funny until we started losing.

I dunno if they'll give him the money to buy a striker but they should either sack him and let someone else buy a boss striker or get one in anyway

Shouldve bought Bony for me.

Wouldve made perfect sense. Its just a shame we couldnt get Origi in this season.... I think if we had him here it might be a little different.

On his current perfomace their is no way the owner will give him funds in January... 2 reasons, we are out of the Champions League, less revenue and he spent 120 million on Squad players..

He will have to sell to buy, the like of shipping out MIng, Borini & Balotelli.. most probably...

Do you remember the whole Agger thing? Or that I wanted him to play Lucas?
I wasn't as certain about Rodgers as I am now because we were winning. But since then it's become quite obvious that it was all Suarez.
And since then we've spent over £100 million on replacements.

It was never 'all' Suarez. Even this season, against Spurs, when Sturridge was actually fit, there were still signs of continuity. Since then the wheels have fallen off the car, the steering wheel has come loose and the engine has blown up, causing people to say, 'Aha - it was only petrol that made this car so good!'

Yep, it's lazy to say it was ALL Suarez. That's just a stick to beat the manager with. It's fair to say Suarez and Sturridge papered over the cracks but the whole team functioned as a well oiled machine. We had match winners all over the pitch. Skrtel had 6 league goals. Sterling and Gerrard reached double figures in the league. We were brimming with confidence. As you said, the wheels have fallen off the car and we've retreated into a shell of a team. Suarez has the character to drag us through a rut like this but sadly he isn't here. We have to make the best out our current situation and try turn this season around. I'm not overly confident we can but we must try.

The team lacks the leadership that Suarez brought..

His presence alone lifted the whole team.. there is no player on the pitch we have that can do that... we should of addressed this in the summer when we had all this money to spend...

Now that's very true. I've never, ever, seen a Liverpool team in which so many players go for the same ball, bump into each other, confuse each other and generally look confused and bewildered and even a bit scared. I won't go on about Gerrard (again), but he was awful as captain yesterday, passing with his head down into empty spaces and then scowling at other players. He's a bit of a bully in those situations, always blaming his teammates when he should be trying to get them to show some courage and fight.

I agree Jono, Suarez was a warrior and alone could transform a team and give it belief. I really wanted to address this is the summer. Sanchez was the man I wanted. He choose Arsenal. It was tough to swallow.

Can't be arsed debating this topic anymore. He got lucky last season with sas, it's goals and the positive effect on the team. Not to mention the fact that it cloaked a shitty defence.
He's not a bad manager, but he's been found out and just won't get us to the top. I would waste another penny on transfers with him making the choices.
This season is all about the race for fourth now. Hopefull hell do that for us before he goes.

Yep, the group huddles are long gone. The team spirit is shot to pieces. We need Kolo to gather them all around a camp fire and 'love' each other again.

As much as Rodgers has fucked shit up in reality what he needs to do now is stop talking, especially about courage and everyone's to blame, we are in it together. Shut the FUCK up and devise a system of play to get the best of the players we have.

We need to go to a solid back four preferably with someone who shouts, with our fullbacks not bombing forward at present, none of this tippy tappy shite between the back four as we haven't the players to do it. Unfortunately we don't have that so we will have to go with Mig, Johnson, Skrtel, Toure and Enrique. We tell the defenders to make one of 3 passes, down the line to the wide man, inside to the CM or across to the other CB - never fucking back to that cunt of a keeper.

We need a solid midfield 2 so for the next few games I would go for Can and Lucas. We know what Lucas can do, not a lot but he is better than what we have and Can has a presence and athleticism we don't seem to have at present. He tires after 65 minutes so perfect for Stevie.

Attacking wise we need some pace and movement so I would go for a front 4 of Stirling, Coutinho, Markovic and Lallana. If we have Stirling and Markovic making runs then both Coutinho and Lallana could find them, if the space is compressed then both Countinho and Lallana could still find them. This should help us create and look threatening.

That team could play counter attacking with the pace of Stirling and Markovic or intricate passing and movement through the likes of coutinho and Lallana. Plus it can't be any worse than what is happening now.

When shite aint working bring on Gerrard and Lamblert....

If we only had a captain.

What worries me the most is that he's all over the place in every deparment (players, tactics, approach).

Incredibly tough.. but there was other players out there, yes we would of had to spend more.. instead we get the exact opposite in Balotelli..

Crazy.. totally crazy decision..
